Basketball season is almost officially here and on Defend the Block. What that means is we have a little bit of fun with Michigan Media Date the local edition. You obviously get a chance to hear from so many players and coaches through the outstanding reporters, writers, video reporters that cover the team. This is a chance for the players to answer some different questions and also to allow those other writers and reporters to filter in their basketball coverage in advance of the season. So we were at media day on Thursday for the men and just finished up the Tuesday media day for the women. A lot of fun to bring you a ton of random questions for both the men's and women's team. Got most players, not all based on the logistics, but we got to most of them, and I can't wait to share them with you next. Right here on Defend the Block, we're talking Michigan basketball.
Jeff Laurence • 00:52
Welcome to Defend the Block, where we'll take you inside the basketball programs with interviews, analysis, and so much more. Now here's your host, Brian Boesch.

My biggest fear, either, probably snakes.
Brian Boesch • 01:18
Have you ever been particularly close to a snake before?
J.P. Estrella • 01:21
Yeah, actually. My girlfriend's brother's a vet, and we went down there to see her family, and he actually has a pet snake, and I actually, like, touched it for the first time, and I was freaking out. Like, I was like, I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. And she just pretty much put the snake on me, and I, like, freaked out.
Brian Boesch • 01:38
But you faced your fear, guy.
J.P. Estrella • 01:40
I faced the fear, yeah. But I'm never doing it again.
Brian Boesch • 01:42
Do you believe in aliens?
J.P. Estrella • 01:44

I'm always happy when I shoot below ninety, which happens almost every time, so I don't try to set the standard too high, where I could walk away disappointed. I'm happy with, like. I'm really happy with, like, a eighty seven, eighty six. That's a really good day for me.
Brian Boesch • 18:22
What's your best ever? On a legitimate course, I shot an eighty three.
Harrison Hochberg • 18:26
Was the best I ever shot.
Ciara Byars • 18:28
Very good.
Brian Boesch • 18:29
Back to the cook part. If you had to cook for a. A professional food critic and you could pick anything you would want to cook, what would you select for the best possible chance of success?
Harrison Hochberg • 18:40
So my dad comes from an Italian family. My grandmother's meatballs. I've went around to a lot of Italian restaurants, tried a lot of meatballs. Hers are unrivaled and without a doubt, the best things that I've ever had. So I gotta go with that. Might not be the most gourmet kind of dish, but it'll satisfy anyone.
Brian Boesch • 18:57
Is there a conspiracy theory that you believe?
Harrison Hochberg • 19:00
Ooh, someone asked me this the other day. There's something fishy about the moon landing. I don't know what. I don't want to get too into it, but there's something that isn't quite adding up.
Brian Boesch • 19:12
That's a good one. What's your favorite cheat meal? Is it the meatballs?
Harrison Hochberg • 19:18
Yeah, like any load up on Italian. I mean, I'm the biggest ice cream fanatic, but I do that every day, so I don't know if that's a cheat meal. If I eat ice cream every day, I do, like, off days. Like, getting some waffles for breakfast is a good one for me.
Brian Boesch • 19:31
So along those lines, would you rather have breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast?
Harrison Hochberg • 19:35
You gotta go breakfast or dinner? I don't really know how to eat dinner for breakfast. I don't know if I've done that. I gotta try it.
Brian Boesch • 19:40
Yeah, that would be more challenging. Final question. If you punch yourself and it hurts, does that make you weak or does that make you strong?
Harrison Hochberg • 19:50
I gotta go with, you gotta make it strong. I'm positive thinking. So that's. That's good on my part that I could do.
Brian Boesch • 19:56
You think you could punch yourself hard enough where it would hurt?
Harrison Hochberg • 19:59
Well, you hear that? You could bite your finger off like a carrot, but your body won't let you. So I don't know. That's. That's interesting.
Brian Boesch • 20:06
Yeah, I also recently heard that.
Harrison Hochberg • 20:08
That's weird.
Brian Boesch • 20:09
Must have been on the old algorithm. All right, Harris. Appreciate you, man.
Howard Eisley • 20:12
Appreciate you.
Brian Boesch • 20:13
Joseph Hartman, what's the best Halloween costume you've ever had?
Joseph Hartman • 20:17
Oh, um. I was always lame. I was always too cool, so I would just wear Jerseys? I don't even know. I think I was Spider man when I was younger.
Malachi Brown • 20:29
Okay.
Brian Boesch • 20:29
That counts. Any pre game rituals or superstitions, you
Joseph Hartman • 20:32
have got to listen to music. Definitely music.
Brian Boesch • 20:36
If you were to go play karaoke tonight, what would be the song you would pick that you feel like you got the best chance to make some moves?
Joseph Hartman • 20:47
Um, Just the way you are by Silky.
Brian Boesch • 20:50
Do you believe in aliens?
Joseph Hartman • 20:51
Yes.
Brian Boesch • 20:52
If aliens showed up today and you had to nominate a representative of the program to talk to them, who would you pick?
Joseph Hartman • 21:05
Moustapha or Ricky?
Brian Boesch • 21:07
Why?
Joseph Hartman • 21:09
Ricky's a pretty calm guy, so I feel like he would be able to, like, understand, like, what's going on in front of his face and just be able to. A tight situation, I should say. Or Marcus. Okay, one of the two.
Brian Boesch • 21:20
And Marcus just happens to be looking over here. I like it. How do you play? Who is the coolest coach in the program?
Joseph Hartman • 21:29
I think the most uncoolest coach is probably Buzz.
Brian Boesch • 21:31
The uncoolest. Wow.
Brian Boesch • 21:33
He's got a couple of coolest votes.
Joseph Hartman • 21:35
That was a joke. Probably Buzz. Probably Buzz or KT.
Brian Boesch • 21:39
All right, would you rather be the smartest or the funniest person in the room?
Joseph Hartman • 21:42
The funniest.
Joseph Hartman • 21:44
I don't know. That's a good one.
Brian Boesch • 21:46
Would you rather be able to speak every language or talk to animals?
Joseph Hartman • 21:50
Speak every language.
Brian Boesch • 21:51
And lastly, if you punch yourself and it hurts, does that make you weak or does that make you strong?
Joseph Hartman • 21:57
Makes you weak because you never punch yourself. Like, you never punch yourself to really hurt yourself, I don't think.
Brian Boesch • 22:01
You know, you get yourself. That means you wait.
Joseph Hartman • 22:03
Exactly. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 22:04
You've been in the minority there, but I appreciate you, man. Great stuff, buddy.
Joseph Hartman • 22:06
Yes. Thank you.
Brian Boesch • 22:07
Elliot Cadeau, if you could play another sport here on campus, what would you pick?
Elliot Cadeau • 22:11
Football.
Brian Boesch • 22:12
What position would you play?
Elliot Cadeau • 22:13
I'll probably play running back.
Brian Boesch • 22:15
Do you have a hidden talent?
Elliot Cadeau • 22:17
Yeah, I know how to produce beats and make music.
Brian Boesch • 22:21
What percentage of your brother's videos have you watched?
Elliot Cadeau • 22:25
Probably like ninety.
Brian Boesch • 22:28
Have you watched the one of the final four with you and the allergy?
Elliot Cadeau • 22:32
Yeah, for sure.
Brian Boesch • 22:33
It's a pretty good one. Who's the coolest coach?
Elliot Cadeau • 22:36
The coolest coach? I'd probably say KT. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 22:39
Favorite midnight snack?
Elliot Cadeau • 22:43
A gushers.
Brian Boesch • 22:45
Would you rather always have a full phone battery or a full gas tank?
Elliot Cadeau • 22:48
A gas tank.
Brian Boesch • 22:49
And if you punch yourself and it hurts, does that make you weak or does that make you strong?
Elliot Cadeau • 22:55
It makes you strong. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 22:56
EC, Appreciate you, man.
Elliot Cadeau • 22:57
Thank you.
Brian Boesch • 22:59
Dallas Loughridge. Would you rather sound like a robot? Or sound like you inhaled helium.
Dallas Loughridge • 23:05
Oh, robot.
Brian Boesch • 23:07
Do you believe in aliens?
Dallas Loughridge • 23:11
Yes.
Brian Boesch • 23:12
Didn't seem super convincing if you had to send. Well, first off, elaborate. Why. Why do you believe and why were you on the fence?
Dallas Loughridge • 23:19
Okay, I don't really know, but I feel like the conspiracy theories, like, sometimes I'm like, oh, that could be true. Like, yes. I feel like I'm on the fence.
Brian Boesch • 23:26
Is there a conspiracy theory you're convinced? Like, yeah, absolutely, this is true.
Dallas Loughridge • 23:30
No, I just think, like, there has to be aliens living on other planets, I reckon.
Brian Boesch • 23:35
If alien showed up today, who would you nominate in on the team to represent the human race in a conversation with them live?
Dallas Loughridge • 23:43
I feel like Liv would be able to connect with aliens. I don't know why. I just feel like her being her, like, self would be able to. I feel like.
Brian Boesch • 23:52
What's your favorite midnight snack?
Dallas Loughridge • 23:55
Oh, a little bit of chocolate. I'm a sweet tooth. Yep.
Brian Boesch • 23:58
Funniest person on the team.
Dallas Loughridge • 24:01
Oh, funniest person on the team.
Dallas Loughridge • 24:08
I feel like Tay is, like, low key. Funny.
Brian Boesch • 24:11
Lastly, I'm gonna ask everybody, if you punch yourself and it hurts, does that make you weak or strong?
Dallas Loughridge • 24:19
Strong, I reckon. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 24:21
Dallas, appreciate you.
Dallas Loughridge • 24:22
Thank you.
Brian Boesch • 24:23
Liv Olson. Who is the coolest coach?
Olivia Olson • 24:26
Coach Reese.
Brian Boesch • 24:27
Why?
Olivia Olson • 24:28
She's just, like, off the court. She's just hilarious and she has the same sense of humor as me, so we just get along great.
Brian Boesch • 24:36
Would you prefer to eat breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast?
Olivia Olson • 24:39
Breakfast for dinner. It's my favorite meal, so I'll eat it every day, all day.
Brian Boesch • 24:43
Okay. All right.
Brian Boesch • 24:43
So what is the ideal breakfast plate?
Olivia Olson • 24:46
Some buttermilk pancakes with some hash browns and an egg scramble.
Brian Boesch • 24:50
Wow, you have that down. If you could teleport anywhere right now, where would you go and why?
Olivia Olson • 24:55
Aruba, because I love the beach.
Brian Boesch • 24:58
What's your biggest fear?
Olivia Olson • 25:01
Failing at anything in life.
Brian Boesch • 25:03
That explains the work ethic. What's the best Halloween costume you've ever had?
Olivia Olson • 25:07
I was a Lions player one year when I was young. It was very random. My dad's favorite team, but I used his helmet and pads from when he was younger and dressed up as Barry Sanders.
Brian Boesch • 25:18
Lastly, if you punch yourself and it hurts, does that make you weak or strong?
Olivia Olson • 25:23
Weak.
Brian Boesch • 25:25
You're. You're a rare, weak one. Why do you say that?
Olivia Olson • 25:30
Cuz you should be able to handle what you throw.
Brian Boesch • 25:33
I'm with you. Liv, appreciate you.
Olivia Olson • 25:34
Appreciate it.
Brian Boesch • 25:35
Ashley Sofilkanich, Pick a random player. Teammate.
Ashley Sofilkanich • 25:39
Jessica Fields.
Brian Boesch • 25:40
Okay, would you rather fight twenty duck sized Jessica Fields or one Jessica Fields sized duck?
Ashley Sofilkanich • 25:48
Twenty duck sized. Oh, my God. One Jessica Fields sized duck. Because I feel like twenty. You said duck sized Jessica Fields, Correct. Oh, I couldn't hurt, like a little J like that.
Brian Boesch • 26:01
Just. Okay. But I know. Let's just say it's. It was survival. Like, we're not. We're not going emotional here. Like you asked.
Ashley Sofilkanich • 26:07
Probably the. The Then probably the twenty. The twenty. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 26:10
Along those lines, who's the most competitive player on the team?
Ashley Sofilkanich • 26:13
Ooh, maybe Tay. Tay. Or I feel like s. Really hard working and competitive, but I would say maybe Tay. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 26:28
If we were to go bowling right now, what would you expect your score to be?
Ashley Sofilkanich • 26:32
Probably one of the better ones on the team. I'm actually a solid bowler. I feel like it just takes me a little bit to get in the groove, but I'd definitely be within the top three on the team.
Brian Boesch • 26:41
Okay, well, we talking one hundred fifty. We talking two hundred.
Ashley Sofilkanich • 26:43
We're talking, like. Like under one hundred fifty. Like, between, like, maybe one hundred ten.
Brian Boesch • 26:49
So you're be.
Ashley Sofilkanich • 26:49
You're.
Brian Boesch • 26:49
You're feasting on a weak strength of schedule.
Ashley Sofilkanich • 26:52
Yeah. Yeah. Oh, one hundred percent. One hundred percent. I know. These girls can't. I mean, we did it last year. We. They were not.
Brian Boesch • 26:59
Who's the worst?
Ashley Sofilkanich • 27:00
I think it was. I think it was Jess. Okay.
Brian Boesch • 27:03
Yeah. But you know what? Twenty duck sized Jesses. Look out when you are driving by yourself or showering. Are you a singer? Are you an outward singer?
Ashley Sofilkanich • 27:13
Honestly, last year, not really, but this year, yeah, I was just singing. Walking around in the training room before, I just sing, you know, any song that comes to my head. I mean, I don't really care if I sound good or not, but. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 27:25
What would your karaoke song be?
Ashley Sofilkanich • 27:27
Ooh, Won't go home without you by Bruno Mars. That's a good one.
Brian Boesch • 27:33
Lastly, if you punch yourself and it hurts, does that make you weak or strong?
Ashley Sofilkanich • 27:38
I think it makes me strong because my. I mean, I'm hitting myself, so. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 27:44
Ashley, appreciate you.
Ashley Sofilkanich • 27:45
Yeah. Thank you so much.
Brian Boesch • 27:46
Kendall Dudley, would you rather always eat spicy food or sweet food? Sweet food. Who's the funniest person on the team?
Kendall Dudley • 27:54
Everyone's gonna hate me for this.
Brian Boesch • 27:55
But, Liv, why would everybody hate you for that? There is one person next to you currently that thought you were gonna pick her. Who we'll talk to next. But why would people be angry about that?
Kendall Dudley • 28:05
Because Liv, like, makes people like, she. Like, when you say she's funny, she keeps like, reiterating it. Like, you can't. Like, it's just. It's not funny anymore because she, like, makes you say she's funny again.
Brian Boesch • 28:14
So she only has a few jokes.
Kendall Dudley • 28:16
They're not funny. They're just weird jokes, but it makes people laugh. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 28:20
So then why did you pick her?
Kendall Dudley • 28:21
Because I always laugh. I'm like, hey, if I'm laughing, I guess it's kind of funny. I don't know.
Brian Boesch • 28:26
Is Te'Yala a second?
Kendall Dudley • 28:28
Yeah, for sure.
Brian Boesch • 28:28
Okay. Sounds like. Sounds like she's actually first.
Kendall Dudley • 28:30
Tay will tell you she's a lot of tallies, though.
Brian Boesch • 28:33
What's your dream vacation destination?
Kendall Dudley • 28:38
Anywhere on the island. And warm.
Brian Boesch • 28:40
The household chore that you most enjoy or tolerate doing?
Kendall Dudley • 28:47
Eating. After I cook.
Brian Boesch • 28:51
That's good. All right, so if you had to cook for a very well known chef or food critic, what would you. What would be your best foot forward for that person?
Kendall Dudley • 29:03
I'm at the door to ask something. I'm not the best cook.
Kendall Dudley • 29:06
I'm not the best cook. I got the door dash.
Brian Boesch • 29:08
Fair enough.
Brian Boesch • 29:09
Can you fold a fitted sheet?
Kendall Dudley • 29:11
No.
Brian Boesch • 29:12
And lastly, if you punch yourself and it hurts, are you weak or are you strong?
Kendall Dudley • 29:16
I'm strong
Brian Boesch • 29:19
And a great cook. Thanks, Kendall.
Kendall Dudley • 29:21
Thank you.
Brian Boesch • 29:22
Te'Yala Delfosse, defend yourself. Why are you the funniest person on the team?
Te'Yala Delfosse • 29:27
I just think my jokes is on point. Like, my jokes is. Is facts, and I just think it's very calculated what I say, so. Yeah.
Trey McKenney • 29:36
All right.
Brian Boesch • 29:36
On a scale of one to ten, how funny is Liv? Is Kendall way off here?
Te'Yala Delfosse • 29:40
Nah, Liv is funny. So it's not a hot. Take that. She said that Liv is definitely funny.
Brian Boesch • 29:45
If you have to get up really early, say, five AM how many alarms do you set to make sure you wake up?
Te'Yala Delfosse • 29:52
About, like, four. Yeah. Yeah, Four.
Brian Boesch • 29:55
What's your favorite smell in the world?
Te'Yala Delfosse • 29:58
Lavender.
Brian Boesch • 30:00
Is there a conspiracy theory you believe?
Te'Yala Delfosse • 30:04
No.
Brian Boesch • 30:05
What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Te'Yala Delfosse • 30:08
I'm very basic. So vanilla or strawberry?
Brian Boesch • 30:13
Would you rather be the smartest or the funniest person in the room?
Te'Yala Delfosse • 30:17
The funniest.
Brian Boesch • 30:19
And then you heard the question. If you punch yourself and it hurts, are you strong or weak?
Te'Yala Delfosse • 30:24
Stronger
Brian Boesch • 30:25
Te'Yala, appreciate you.
Te'Yala Delfosse • 30:25
Thank you.
Brian Boesch • 30:26
Fope Ayo Would you rather travel one hundred years into the past or one hundred years into the future?
Fope Ayo • 30:32
Oh, I must say the future, because one hundred years in the past would be nineteen twenty. That's, like, right before the Great Depression. I don't want to be in that period of time, so I think I would do one hundred years in the future that'd be pretty cool.
Brian Boesch • 30:48
I want you to pick, pick a teammate. A random teammate.
Fope Ayo • 30:55
Liv.
Brian Boesch • 30:56
Okay, would you rather fight twenty duck sized Liv Olsons or one Liv Olson sized duck?
Fope Ayo • 31:01
Wait, say wait. Twenty duck sized Liv Olsons or one size duck? Twenty duck sized Liv Olsons?
Fope Ayo • 31:12
I don't know. I feel like I. I don't know. A duck that's the size of Liv Olson would be really. I don't.
Fope Ayo • 31:18
That's just a terrifying thought. I don't think I wanted to deal with that. I think many little Volson's. I mean I think lives strong either way but like I think, I don't know. I think I better change it with the twenty mini level Olsen. As opposed to one level sized duck.
Brian Boesch • 31:34
What's your favorite TV series?
Fope Ayo • 31:36
Oh, that's a good question. Let me think. I recently just started watching the A Different World but like the new one on Netflix. That was pretty good. I liked it. And then also I like how to get away with Murder.
Brian Boesch • 31:53
If you could inherit a superpower, what would it be?
Fope Ayo • 32:01
I don't know. Just like, I guess super speed would be great helpful for here. Yeah, one hundred. That would be pretty cool.
Brian Boesch • 32:09
That'd be really tough to handle. Lastly, if you punch yourself and it hurts, would that make you weak or strong?
Fope Ayo • 32:16
I mean I would say. I think, I would say. I mean it depends on the person, but I think I would say strong. I mean if you can punch yourself that hard that you feel it, I'd say you're pretty strong.
Brian Boesch • 32:29
I appreciate you.
Fope Ayo • 32:30
Of course. Anytime. Thank you.
Brian Boesch • 32:32
Ciara Byars, would you rather always, always have a full phone battery or a full gas tank?
Ciara Byars • 32:37
Oh, I'm gonna have to say a full phone battery, definitely.
Brian Boesch • 32:45
That being said, would you rather drive a fire truck or a race car? Yeah.
Ciara Byars • 32:51
Is this with the gas in question?
Brian Boesch • 32:52
No, no, no. We'll just say they're both gassed up.
Ciara Byars • 32:55
Oh, I'd rather drive a race car for sure.
Brian Boesch • 32:59
What's the best Halloween costume you've ever worn?
Ciara Byars • 33:02
Oh, I was Simone Biles when they went. It was like her first Olympics and I think it was like twenty sixteen when the US gymnastics was like really good. That was probably my best costume for sure.
Brian Boesch • 33:14
If given the chance, would you go to space?
Ciara Byars • 33:17
Definitely, I definitely would.
Brian Boesch • 33:18
Do you believe in aliens?
Ciara Byars • 33:21
I wouldn't say aliens exactly, but I do believe there's definitely like undiscovered life that we don't know about. Extraterrestrial for sure.
Brian Boesch • 33:28
I like that. I think I'm with you. There, your most controversial food opinion.
Ciara Byars • 33:33
Oh, honestly don't think I have one. No.
Brian Boesch • 33:37
And if you punch yourself and it hurts, are you strong or weak?
Ciara Byars • 33:41
Strong for sure. One hundred.
Brian Boesch • 33:43
Ciara, I appreciate you.
Ciara Byars • 33:44
Thank you.
Brian Boesch • 33:44
Jessica Fields, who is the coolest coach?
Jessica Fields • 33:48
The coolest coach? Probably Coach Reese.
Brian Boesch • 33:50
Okay, why?
Jessica Fields • 33:51
I think she just got that sweet her about her, everything. You can joke with her, a little slang, all the above.
Brian Boesch • 33:57
Would you rather have your own personal chef or your own personal chauffeur, travel person, that type of thing?
Jessica Fields • 34:05
Probably my own personal chef. Like being able to just chef up anything I want. That would be pretty nice.
Brian Boesch • 34:11
Is there a conspiracy theory that you believe?
Jessica Fields • 34:16
No, I don't know any of them. I think if I looked into them, I'd be all suspicious. Suspicious of everything. So I don't know any.
Brian Boesch • 34:23
What's your least favorite food?
Jessica Fields • 34:24
My least favorite food? Maybe like squash, zucchini, cooked vegetables. Like those specifically, I don't like them.
Brian Boesch • 34:37
Flip side, what's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Jessica Fields • 34:39
Favorite ice cream? Ben and Jerry's double chocolate brownie or fudge brownie? Anything like triple chocolate. That's me. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 34:47
And lastly, if you punch yourself and it hurts, are you weak or strong?
Jessica Fields • 34:52
I think you're strong. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 34:55
Appreciate you, Jessica.
Jessica Fields • 34:56
Yeah. Thank you.
Brian Boesch • 34:57
Macy Brown. Do you have a hidden talent?
Macy Brown • 35:00
I'm trying to think. You know, I used to. Or not used to. I can still do it, but like double Dutch jump roping.
Brian Boesch • 35:06
Really?
Macy Brown • 35:08
I'm really good at making like presentation slides.
Brian Boesch • 35:12
Okay, Those are two very different things. When did you know you could be that advanced as a jump rope?
Macy Brown • 35:18
Elementary school. I would hang out like on the bars and like the swinging bars. You could do like flips on them.
Brian Boesch • 35:23
I'm sure your parents were thrilled.
Macy Brown • 35:25
Oh, they loved it. Only fell off a couple times. Wood chips in the hair, you know? Yeah, perfect. Four square and double Dutch jump roping. It was like we had a big group of us. Super fun.
Brian Boesch • 35:35
Okay. So that's pretty brave. Do you have a biggest fear?
Macy Brown • 35:38
I don't like heights. And maybe it's more so I'm not scared of heights. It's just like the fear of falling. You know what I mean?
Brian Boesch • 35:45
Pick a teammate.
Macy Brown • 35:47
Ooh, Kendall.
Brian Boesch • 35:48
Yeah. Would you rather fight twenty duck sized Kendall Dudleys or one Kendall Dudley sized duck to the death?
Macy Brown • 35:58
One, Okay, wait, twenty Kendall Dudley.
Brian Boesch • 36:00
Wait, so twenty, twenty little, little Kendall Dudleys that are duck sized or one giant duck? That one. One giant duck. That is sized Kendall duck.
Macy Brown • 36:09
I'll do a giant duck because I can't fight Kenny she's like, that's my girl. You know?
Brian Boesch • 36:14
That's a really good answer. I've never heard that one before. If you had to cook for a renowned food critic, what would be your go to your best chance to impress them?
Macy Brown • 36:24
Oooh, okay, Ash. Okay. Ask Ashley Sofilkanich. We make dinner basically almost every night of the week. But it's like sweet potato rice, ground beef, like it's, you know, cottage cheese. You know, the classic college meal. I would say I would do maybe like a chicken parm type of thing. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 36:47
Who's the funniest person on the team?
Macy Brown • 36:49
Olivia Olson.
Brian Boesch • 36:51
Wow, Okay. So I got some controversy on that. Apparently, she repeats stuff a lot and really, really overdoes it.
Macy Brown • 36:57
You know what. But that's what makes it so funny, is, like, her. She's just so pure and so funny. Okay, I don't. Maybe not pure, but, like, you know, like, she's innocent. She's goofy. She's just a goofy person.
Brian Boesch • 37:10
Lastly, if you punch yourself and it hurts, are you weak or are you strong?
Macy Brown • 37:14
O strong. I don't know.
Brian Boesch • 37:19
It's. It's a good question. What do you think? Most people have answered weak. Most people answered strong.
Macy Brown • 37:25
Really? Okay, that's good.
Olivia Olson • 37:27
Okay.
Brian Boesch • 37:27
So you think. You think strong.
Macy Brown • 37:29
Yeah, very strong.
Brian Boesch • 37:31
You needed convincing, but you got there. Macy. Appreciate it. Get well sooner.
Macy Brown • 37:34
Thank you. Appreciate it.
Brian Boesch • 37:35
Devin Cosgriff, if you could speak every language in the world or talk to animals, what would you pick?
Devin Cosgriff • 37:41
Definitely speak every language. I feel like that's more like you can do more with that. Get more jobs. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 37:48
Would you rather have everything black and white in the world or everything glow in the dark?
Devin Cosgriff • 37:51
In the world? Glow in the dark. Seems cooler.
Brian Boesch • 37:56
Can you fold a fitted sheet?
Devin Cosgriff • 38:00
I can, yeah. Well, I'd say pretty well. Sometimes I need, like, two people to start, and then I got the rest after.
Brian Boesch • 38:06
Better than me. If you teleport anywhere right now, where would it be?
Devin Cosgriff • 38:09
Ooh, it would either be to go see my sister, wherever she is, or it would be to go to Hawaii. But my family would have to be there.
Brian Boesch • 38:17
You couldn't play basketball, but played another sport here, what would you play?
Devin Cosgriff • 38:23
Maybe I would try volleyball. I feel like that sounds really fun, but. Yeah.
Brian Boesch • 38:30
Lastly, if you punch yourself and it hurts, does that make you weak or strong? Oh, my gosh.
Devin Cosgriff • 38:38
I'm gonna say it makes you weak.
Brian Boesch • 38:40
I agree. And that's the minority. I appreciate you. Yes, I appreciate you too.
Devin Cosgriff • 38:43
Have a good one.
Brian Boesch • 38:52
That'll do it for this edition of Defend the Block. Thanks to everybody. Who played along. Apologies I didn't quite get everybody in both programs, but excited to share all of that with you. We are into in season mode now. Can't wait to bring you a post game episode after the men's opener against Oakland coming up on Monday night. All right, for everybody who made it possible, I'm Brian Boesch. Thanks for listening. All offseason long basketball is here. Go Blue.
