• Four Wolverines Earn All-Big Ten Honors (April 22)
April 14 -- Nick Roode, Luke Shannehan
Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week
» Nick Roode led Michigan's offense in a win over No. 8 Penn State to earn Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors.
» The junior scored four goals, including three in the fourth quarter to fuel Michigan's comeback.
» He netted the game-tying goal with 1:43 remaining.
» Roode placed four of his six shots on goal.
» He also added one ground ball.
» He ranks fourth in the Big Ten with 37 points and leads the conference with 32 goals this season.
» The honor is the first of his career.
Big Ten Freshman of the Week
» Luke Shannehan earned his second Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor after scoring the game-winning goal with 12 seconds remaining at No. 8 Penn State.
» The freshman beat his defender and drove down the lane for the decisive score.
» He also assisted on Michigan's first goal of the game.
» Shannehan added two ground balls.
» He is tied for fourth in the conference with 23 goals and tied for fifth with 37 points.
» The honor is the second of his career and marks the fourth time a Wolverine has earned the award this season.
April 7 -- Adam Udell
Big Ten Freshman of the Week
» Adam Udell earned his first weekly honor after helping lead Michigan past No. 13 Rutgers in the final home game of the season.
» Udell had four points, with one goal and a career-best three assists.
» He also added a career-high two caused turnovers, one of which came in the final three minutes to keep Rutgers off the scoreboard, and added a ground ball.
Feb. 10 -- Tay Rodriguez
Big Ten Freshman of the Week
» Tay Rodriguez was dominant on the faceoff at Marquette, winning 10-of-15 faceoffs.
» He recorded his first career point with an assist and picked up six ground balls.
» The award is the first of Rodriguez's career and the second of the season for the Wolverines.
Feb. 3 -- Luke Shannehan
Big Ten Freshman of the Week
» Luke Shannehan paced the Michigan offense in its season-opening 24-2 win over Mercyhurst.
» He helped U-M break the program goals record, scoring five times in his first collegiate outing.
» Shannehan recorded seven total points with five goals and two assists, notching six in the first half.
» He put seven of his nine shots on cage and added one ground ball to his stat line.
» The honor is the first of his career.
Jan. 22 -- Hunter Taylor, CJ Reilly, Nick Roode
Big Ten Players to Watch
» Hunter Taylor enters his senior season as the starting goalie for the Wolverines and the winningest goalie in program history with his 21 victories.
» He ranks second all-time in Michigan annals with 400 career saves and logged a personal-best .528 save percentage in 2025.
» Taylor tallied seven double-digit-save games in the 2025 campaign and stopped a career-best 18 shots against Rutgers (April 26).
» The Rockville, Md., native also earned Lacrosse Network Player of the Week recognition in 2025 and was the Big Ten Specialist of the Week on two occasions.
» The honor is the second of Taylor's career; he was also a Big Ten Player to Watch in 2024.
» CJ Reilly returns for his junior season as a midfielder.
» He played in 14 games with four starts in his sophomore campaign and tallied seven points.
» The Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., native scored four goals and had three assists with his first career goal coming against Marquette (Feb. 1).
» He entered the 2025 season on a three-game scoring streak with five total points.
» Nick Roode heads into his junior season as a member of the Michigan attacking core.
» Roode played in nine games with five starts in 2025 and ranked fourth on the team with 14 goals and three assists for 17 total points.
» He notched four multi-point games, including a career-high five goals and one assist against Cleveland State (March 4).
» Roode netted the game-winning goal against No. 1 Maryland in triple overtime.
Big Ten Preseason Poll
Michigan was picked to finish fifth in the Big Ten after tying for second in 2025. Maryland was picked to win the title by the Big Ten coaches, while Penn State was chosen to finish second.
