COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The No. 4-ranked Michigan women's swimming and diving team stayed undefeated on the season with a 162-136 win over 14th-ranked Ohio State on Saturday (Jan. 17) at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
Bella Sims, Letitia Sim, Brady Kendall and Leila Fack opened the dual with a win in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:34.56.
Sims secured Michigan's (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) first individual win of the afternoon with a time of 1:42.65 in the 200-yard freestyle.
Lexi Greenhawt added a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a mark of 51.86 while Hannah Bellard chipped in a win in the 200-yard butterfly by clocking a time of 1:52.85.
Kendall took the top spot in the 50-yard freestyle, racing to the wall in 21.62 seconds. Sims took care of business in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:53.53.
Sim outlasted the field in the 200-yard breaststroke to win with a time of 2:08.18, while Kendall secured her second win of the contest with a time of 51.40 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Sims put a bow on her afternoon with a time of 1:55.98 in the 200-yard IM as the Wolverines took the top three positions in the event.
Stephanie Balduccini, Fack, Greenhawt and Kendall secured the win for the Maize and Blue with a time of 3:12.21 in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Next up, U-M will return to Canham Natatorium on Jan. 31 for its final meet of the regular season against Denison at noon, as the program will celebrate the senior class.
