
31 Wolverines Named to CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

RICHMOND, Va. -- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) named 31 Michigan men's and women's swimmers and divers as Scholar All-Americans for the 2024-25 season on Thursday (July 3). Additionally, both programs received the CSCAA Scholar All-America team awards.
Leading the way for the women was Stephanie Balduccini, Casey Chung, Rebecca Diaconescu, Lexi Greenhawt, Brady Kendall, Kiarra Milligan, Claire Newman, Marian Ploger and Letitia Sim, who all earned first-team honors. Anna Boemer, Chrismon Clark, Josie Connelly, Evie Johnson, Natalie Kan, Alex Mercier, Ella Jo Piersma and Madison Smith were tabbed second team (also called honorable mention).
On the men's side, Eitan Ben-Shitrit, Colin Geer, Tyler Ray, and Jack Wilkening garnered first-team honors. Grayson Davis, Inbar Danziger, Jaeddan Gamilla, Rian Herrmann, Jon Jøntvedt, Kameron Liberman, Cameron Luarde, William Savarese, Ethan Schwab and Jacque Wenger were named to the second team.
To qualify for first-team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-team selections (also called honorable mention) must have also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
Both the men and women earned CSCAA Scholar All-America honors as a team, earning a cumulative 3.30 and 3.37 GPA, respectively. To qualify, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the spring semester.
