ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Headlined by two home events -- the Wolverine Invitational and one of six NCAA regional sites -- and nine regular-season events, University of Michigan women's golf coach Jan Dowling released the Wolverines' 2025-26 schedule on Friday (July 25).
"Our philosophy has always been to compete against high-level competition on great golf courses that test our games and prepare us for the NCAA Championships," said Dowling. "We have an incredible opportunity to host both a fall home event and one of six NCAA Regional sites in the spring. Hosting an event is rare in golf, and we are grateful for the opportunity to compete on home soil and showcase our historic U-M Golf Course. This schedule, from top to bottom, has it all and will prepare us to compete at the highest level."
Dowling's Wolverines open their fall hosting the Wolverine Invitational (Sept. 7-8) at U-M Golf Course. The 54-hole event serves as a preview of Michigan's historic home course, which will serve as one of six NCAA regionals in the spring (May 11-13).
Heading across the border, U-M will co-host with Kent State the Canadian Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 22-23) at Beacon Hill Golf Club in Ontario, Canada. Moving into October, the Wolverines head to Big Ten country for the Illini Women's Invitational (Oct. 6-7) at the famed Medinah Country Club.
The fall concludes with Michigan's trip to North Carolina's Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational (Oct. 17-19) at the Finley Golf Club. In its fifth straight trip to Tobacco Road, U-M has nine overall trips in the last 10 years to the Tar Heels' home event. The only miss was in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the winter training period, U-M starts the season back up in Puerto Rico and Purdue's Puerto Rico Classic (Feb. 1-3) at the Grand Reserve Golf Club. Following the Boilermakers' event, the Wolverines have three straight tournaments in Florida.
First, the Maize and Blue return to Michigan State's Spartan Suncoast Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 15-16) at the Palm Aire Country Club before opening March, with its sixth trip to Florida's Gator Invitational (March 6-8) at the Mark Bostick Golf Course. The Sunshine State finale will be the Coach Mo Classic (March 30-31), co-hosted by Furman and North Florida, at the St. Johns Golf and Country Club.
The regular season closes with the Wolverines defending their 2025 team title at the Terrapin Invitational (April 5-6) at University of Maryland Golf Course. Last year, all five starters closed among the top 25 as U-M won its first team title in nearly three years.
As the season shifts to the postseason, the Big Ten Championships head west as the conference tournament will be played in Glendale, Calif., at the prestigious Oakmont Country Club (April 24-26). Following the Golf Channel's selection show on Wednesday, April 29, Michigan serves as one of six hosts for an NCAA regional.
Along with Alabama, Baylor, Florida State, North Carolina and Stanford, qualifying regional teams will play the three-day event (May 11-13) for a shot at advancing to the NCAA Finals at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. After 54-holes of stroke-play (May 22-24), the top 15 teams advance to the final round on Monday, May 25. From there, the top eight teams advance to match play and the NCAA title.
