
Wolverines Earn 2025 ITA Academic Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team was honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association with the ITA All-Academic Team honor on Monday (July 21). In addition, four Wolverines were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
Ava Bruno (Bronxville, N.Y./Dwight Global), Julia Fliegner (Birmingham, Mich./Detroit Country Day), Reese Miller and Bayley Sheinin (East Greenwich, R.I./East Greenwich) were each named ITA Scholar-Athletes, earning a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year.
Michigan earned the team award for the sixth straight season by having a team GPA of 3.2 or above for the 2024-25 academic year.
U-M was honored numerous times throughout the season with various academic honors, highlighted by Fliegner being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America first team. Three Wolverines were named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars, with all six eligible Wolverines earning Academic All-Big Ten honors. In addition to Fliegner, Miller and Piper Charney each earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
