SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team will participate in the 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., from Nov. 21-23. Joining Michigan at the event are Syracuse, UConn and Utah.
Michigan is playing in the event for the third time, with this year marking the first time it is a tournament-style format. U-M will face Syracuse in the opening game, slated for Nov. 21. The Wolverines will then play either UConn or Utah on Nov. 23. Michigan is 5-0 all-time against the Orange, last beating Syracuse in an 84-76 overtime contest in Ann Arbor on Dec. 5, 2019. U-M is 1-1 all-time against the Utes and has never faced UConn.
Details about game times, broadcast information and credentials will be announced at a later date.
Michigan is coming off its seventh straight NCAA Tournament berth in 2024-25, winning 23 games and reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament. J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head women's basketball coach Kim Barnes Arico became the all-time winningest coach in Michigan basketball history and relied on a freshman-heavy lineup to finish fifth in the Big Ten with 11 victories. U-M welcomes back a trio of starters in Olivia Olson (16.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg), Syla Swords (16.0 ppg, 6.2 rpg) and Mila Holloway (9.8 ppg, 4.4 apg), along with six other Wolverines who saw the floor last season.
