
Michigan Quartet Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Eitan Ben-Shitrit, Connor Hunt, Tyler Ray and Logan Zucker of the University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for the 2024-25 season, the organization announced Tuesday (April 1). To earn the award, student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average.
Ben-Shitrit is a junior pursuing a degree in computer science and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. He earned All-America second-team distinction for his part in the 800-yard freestyle relay that finished 11th overall at the NCAA Championships.
Hunt is a senior who will earn his degree in business administration and garnered Academic All-Big Ten honors in all three years of eligibility. A butterfly and freestyle specialist, he earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award at his final conference championships.
Ray is a junior pursuing a degree in business administration and is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten team member. Ray put together a stellar season in his third year with the program, winning the 100-yard butterfly event at the Big Ten Championships and breaking the program event record twice. For his efforts, Ray landed on the All-Big Ten first team and the All-America first team.
Zucker is a junior pursuing a degree in business administration and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. Zucker reached the 'C' finals in the 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard freestyle, finishing 17th and 22nd, respectively.
Ray advances to the Academic All-America ballot, which will be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on April 23.
