• Regular Season: Nine events (four top-five finishes)

Led by veterans Hailey Borja and Monet Chun, the University of Michigan women's golf team continued to showcase itself within the Big Ten and on the national landscape. After a solid regular season, U-M had its eighth top-five finish at the conference championships and earned a fifth straight trip to an NCAA regional.

Team Highlights
• Michigan made its fifth straight trip to an NCAA regional and seventh under head coach Jan Dowling. Led by Monet Chun and Lauren Sung tying for 30th individually, the Wolverines posted a ninth-place team finish.
• Led by Chun's second Big Ten individual title, Michigan posted its eighth top-five finish at the Big Ten Championships, tying for fourth (864, E). With her 209 (-7) championship total, Chun was one of three to earn the top spot at the conference tournament. She went on to win the playoff for the auto-bid (as an individual) for the NCAA regional. Chun became the 12th Big Ten golfer to win the individual crown more than once.
• In the regular season, Michigan posted three top-five finishes -- including winning the Chattanooga Classic -- after Chun's 203 (-10) medalist finish. U-M's 855 team total at the Council Fire Golf Club marked the fourth-lowest 54-hole total in program history.
• Michigan had a Wolverine finish among the top 10 in nine of 11 events. Chun led with six top Wolverine finishes while Hailey Borja had four.
• With a 294.15 team scoring average, Michigan finished etching the third lowest per-round average in program history. The Wolverines posted five sub-par team totals, including a program-record 271 (-13) in the second round of the Chattanooga Classic. U-M's 271 tally topped the program's prior best by four shots -- 275 (-13) in the first round of the 2015 Last Vegas Collegiate Showdown.



Individual Highlights
• Chun was named a Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America honorable mention to become U-M's third Wolverine to receive the honor. Chun joins Elodie Van Dievoet (2017, 2nd) and former teammate Ashley Lau (2021, HM; 2022, 1st) on U-M's list of All-America recognition.
• Chun was named the Big Ten's Golfer of the Year and a member All-Big Ten first team, while Borja earned All-Big Ten second-team honors to become the first Big Ten golfer to earn five conference accolades. Chun made it four straight years earning a conference accolades.
• Chun recorded a program record and career-low 61 (-10) in the second round of the Chattanooga Classic, which tied the second lowest single-round score in NCAA women's golf history. She used that record round to win, tying the U-M 54-hole record with a 203 (-10) total, and posted one of her five sub-par 54-hole totals.
• Chun carried a career-low average of 71.97 per round which helped her earn the Big Ten's Mary Fossum Award for the lowest average in the conference. With seven of her 11 sub-par rounds below 70, Chun closed her career with 32 total sub-par rounds, second only to Borja's record 39.
• With her 73.18 career scoring average, Chun became U-M's all-time leader, bettering Lau's 73.24 average. Chun also tied Lau for most individual titles in program history with four.
• Returning for a fifth year with the NCAA's COVID-19 exemption, Borja continued her consistency, finishing second with a 73.40 scoring average, with 10 sub-par tallies. In her final campaign, she fired a career-low 67 twice -- in the final round of the Gators Invitational (-3) and the second round of the Augusta Invitational (-5).
• Borja posted a top-10 finish at the prestigious Augusta National Women's Amateur. In her second appearance in one of the world's top amateur events, she used rounds of 71 (-1) and 72 (E) at the Champions Retreat to advance to the final round at Augusta National. With a 74 (+2), she tied for eighth with a 217 total.
• Borja started all 49 career tournaments and finished second all-time in U-M's history books. She snapped her consecutive event streak at 47 to play in the Augusta National Women's Amateur. With her 39 career sub-par rounds, she set the program career record.
• Sidney Yermish was the lone Wolverine to start all 11 events. Third on U-M, Yermish averaged 74.82 per round with a trio of sub-70 tallies -- a career-low 68, twice in the final round of the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational (Oct. 9-10) and the first round of the Valspar Augusta Invitational.
• Michigan had three holes-in-one during the season. Yermish used an 8-iron (135 yards) for a hole-in-one on No. 4 at the Forest Hills Golf Club at the Augusta Invitational. In the first round of the Big Ten Championships, Mara Janess used an 8-iron from 142 yards out for her ace on the seventh hole. Then in the second round at Big Ten's, Chun aced No. 17 with a 5-iron from 162 yards.
