
Milligan Punches NCAA Championships Ticket on Second Day of Zone C Diving Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Michigan diving teams wrapped up the second day of competition at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships on Friday (March 15) at Ralph Wright Natatorium, with Kiarra Milligan earning a spot in the upcoming NCAA Championships.
Milligan led the way for the Wolverine women in the three-meter dive, comfortably finishing inside the top 18 in the preliminary round to advance to the final. The sophomore logged a score of 618.00 to finish eighth overall and will compete at the NCAAs in Athens, Ga.
Chrismon Clark and Evie Johnson barely missed the final cut, finishing 19th and 20th overall with scores of 268.65 and 265.75, respectively. Alex Mercier checked in at 50th with a tally of 180.20.
Thirty-four men competed in the one-meter dive, and Cameron Gammage emerged from the field with a preliminary finish that ranked within the top 18 to earn a spot in the final. Gammage finished 12th overall with a cumulative score of 633.70. Freshman Logan Hepner took 30th overall, logging a score of 223.35.
U-M will wrap up its trip to Louisville, Ky., on Saturday (March 16) when both the U-M men and women will compete in the platform dive. The women will start at 11 a.m., and the men will get underway at 2 p.m. inside Ralph Wright Natatorium.
