• In the 15th all-time meeting between Michigan and Washington, and the first since last year's College Football Playoff National Championship, U-M slipped to 9-6 against the Huskies. The Wolverines are 6-4 in 10 regular-season match-ups. This was the first of those matchups to occur at Husky Stadium.
• Today's loss broke a streak of 11 consecutive wins on the road for the Wolverines, which tied a program record. The winning streak began at Penn State (Nov. 13, 2021) in the 2021 season and tied the previous record set roughly 90 years ago. That streak spanned from Nov. 16, 1929 (at Minnesota) to Oct. 13, 1934 (at Chicago).
• The program's streak of 27 consecutive Big Ten wins (dating to 2021) was also broken in the loss. That figure represents a program record, with the previous mark set by Gary Moeller's 1990-92 teams (19).
• The Big Ten Conference does not recognize the 2021, 2022, or 2023 title games as conference match-ups, so U-M closes its streak at 25 straight wins by the league's record book.
• Jack Tuttle saw his first game action of the season under center and finished 10-of-18 passing for 98 yards with one touchdown.
• Colston Loveland's third-quarter touchdown reception was the eighth of his career, second this season, and first since the season opener.
• Loveland has led the Wolverines in receiving in each of the five games he's played this season, finishing today with six catches for 33 yards.
• Donovan Edwards' 39-yard touchdown in the second quarter was his second touchdown run of at least that length in the last three games (41 yards vs. USC).
• Amorion Walker's 22-yard reception in the third quarter marked a new career-long and his first catch of the season.
• Greg Crippen made his first career start in today's game, getting the nod at center.
• Crippen is the 13th player to have made his first career start this fall, joining wide receiver Kendrick Bell, center Dominick Giudice, tight end Marlin Klein, right tackle Evan Link, wide receivers Fredrick Moore and Peyton O'Leary, quarterbacks Alex Orji and Davis Warren on offense; defensive back Zeke Berry, edge TJ Guy, defensive back Jyaire Hill, and edge Derrick Moore on defense.
• Ernest Hausmann's fourth-quarter interception jump-started U-M's final frame. It was his first career interception (including his time at Nebraska). He is the eighth different player with a turnover for the U-M defense so far this season.
• That ended a streak of 269 consecutive attempts without an interception by UW quarterback Will Rodgers, making it his first interception thrown in more than a calendar year.
• Hausmann led the Wolverines with 12 total tackles in the loss, setting a new career high at Michigan and tying his best individual game effort at Nebraska.
• Guy's 1.5 sacks in the effort led the U-M defense and marked a new career high. His 1.5 tackles for loss were also a career best.
• Mason Graham blocked a field goal try from UW to close out the second quarter. It was U-M's first blocked field goal since Mike Morris blocked one at Indiana (Oct. 8, 2022).
• U-M posted 6.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks against the Huskies. Through three Big Ten games, the Wolverines have 23.0 total tackles for loss and 14.0 total sacks (8.0 TFL, 4.0 sacks vs. USC; 9.0, 6.0 vs. Minnesota).
