• Today's announced attendance of 110,849 marks the 321st consecutive crowd of 100,000-plus at Michigan Stadium.
• Today's honorary captains were the co-chairs of the U-M Capital Campaign, 'Look to Michigan.' Wolverine great Blake Corum was also an honorary captain.
• Big Ten Championship teams from 1964, 1974, and 2004 were honored on the field during the game.
• In the 117th meeting between Michigan and Michigan State, U-M improved to 74-38-5 and has now won 29 of the last 46 match-ups.
• The Wolverines now have a record of 37-21-3 against the Spartans at Michigan Stadium, including victories in 14 of the last 20 games played between the two schools in Ann Arbor, Mich. Overall, Michigan has a 52-23-3 mark against Michigan State in Ann Arbor.
• In the 72nd meeting for the Paul Bunyan Trophy, the Wolverines claimed victory for a third straight season, improving their record to 41-29-2 all-time in the trophy match.
• Defensive back Jacob Oden and wide receiver Channing Goodwin became the 16th and 17th Wolverines to make his collegiate debut by appearing in today's game. Other Wolverines to make collegiate debuts this season include: Chibi Anwunah (edge), Manuel Beigel (defensive line), Mason Curtis (defensive back), Jo'Ziah Edmond (defensive back), Jake Guarnera (offensive line), Hogan Hansen (tight end), Jason Hewlett (linebacker), Breeon Ishmail (edge), Ike Iwunnah (defensive line), Dominic Nichols (edge), Bryson Kuzdzal (running back), Evan Link (offensive line), Jordan Marshall (running back), Andrew Sprague (offensive line), and Cole Sullivan (linebacker).
• U-M mounted a 10-play, 64-yard touchdown drive at the end of the first half for the offense's first points of the game. Warren connected with Loveland on a 10-yard touchdown reception to cap off the drive.
• After his first pass resulted in an incompletion, quarterback Davis Warren completed 10 consecutive attempts to end the first half with 79 yards, including the 10-yard touchdown pass to tight end Colston Loveland.
• Loveland moved into third place all-time in touchdowns among U-M tight ends with his ninth and tenth career scores; he also moved into second all-time in receiving touchdowns for a Michigan tight end in a season with six.
• After adding 17 receiving yards in today's contest, running back Donovan Edwards is now 34 yards shy of setting the career receiving yards record by a running back at Michigan, currently held by Anthony Thomas (810 yards). Edwards is now tied for second with B.J. Askew (777 yards, 1999-02).
• Loveland has been the leader or co-leader in receptions for U-M in every game he has played this season (seven), with 42 total catches, including six today.
• Loveland recorded his 11th career game over 50 receiving yards. Among U-M tight ends, only Jake Butt (12, 2013-16) had more in his career.
• Loveland's six catches today bring his career total to 103, passing Jerame Tuman (98) for third all-time among U-M tight ends. His 67 receiving yards today moved him to fourth among tight ends in program history with 1,295 yards, passing Lowell Perry (1,261) and Tuman (1,279).
• Loveland recorded the second two-touchdown game of his career. Both have come against Michigan State (2023).
• Loveland also caught a two-point conversion from Edwards. It was the fourth pass of Edwards' career; he is now four-for-four passing for 136 yards with two touchdowns.
• Quarterback Alex Orji punched in a two-yard rushing touchdown on the opening drive of the second half. It was Orji's fourth rushing touchdown of his career and first this season. Orji finished with 64 rushing yards, a career high.
• U-M posted 6.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks against the Spartans. The Wolverines have had at least six TFL in each of their four Big Ten games, totaling 37 tackles for loss and 17 sacks.
• Defensive end Josaiah Stewart leads the Wolverine defense with 6.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss after adding a sack today. Stewart has at least a share of a sack in four consecutive games (2.0 vs. USC, 1.0 vs. Washington, 0.5 vs. Illinois, 1.0 vs. Michigan State).
• Stewart's forced fumble at the end of the first half led to a 37-yard field goal from kicker Dominic Zvada, giving Michigan the lead for the first time in the game. It was the second forced fumble of Stewart's career.
• Linebacker Ernest Hausmann leads the defense with 56 total tackles, including a team-high 11 total tackles and one tackle for loss today.
• Defensive end Cameron Brandt registered his first career sack in the fourth quarter for a four-yard loss.
• Defensive back Quinten Johnson secured the game-sealing pass breakup at the end of the fourth quarter, his second of the day. This ties Johnson's career high in pass breakups (vs. Nebraska, 2023).
• Defensive back Jyaire Hill has at least one pass breakup in seven of the team's eight games.
• Six U-M defenders tied or set career highs in tackles today: defensive back Aamir Hall (eight total tackles), defensive end Cameron Brandt (three), defensive back Wesley Walker (three), defensive back Brandyn Hillman (three), defensive lineman Trey Pierce (two), and defensive lineman Enow Etta (one).
