KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team finished 23rd at the 2023 NCAA Championships (March 18), hosted by Tennessee at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
In the final event of the 2023 NCAA Championships, Lindsay Flynn, Christey Liang, Brady Kendall and Claire Newman finished 15th overall in the 400-yard freestyle relay race with a time of 3:14.58.
In the prelims, Letitia Sim was the fastest Wolverine of the morning with a time of 2:08.39 in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing 18th. In the 200-yard butterfly prelims, Katie Crom finished 19th with a time of 1:55.29. Both swimmers just missed the B-final in their respective events.
In the prelims for the 100-yard freestyle, Flynn and Natalie Kan finished 21st and 49th, respectively.
Michigan collected honorable mention All-America honors in the 200-yard medley relay (Noelle Kaufmann, Sim, Kan, Flynn), the 200-yard freestyle relay (Flynn, Newman, Kan, Kendall), the 400-yard medley relay (Kaufman, Sim, Kendall, Flynn) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (Flynn, Liang, Brady, Newman). Sim earned honorable mention All-American accolades in the 100-yard breaststroke.
