ROSEMONT, Ill. -- University of Michigan men's soccer senior Bryce Blevins and sophomore Nolan Miller were named All-Big Ten second team, while freshmen Matthew Fisher and Isaiah Goldson earned All-Freshman team honors as announced by the conference office Friday (Nov. 3).
The honor is the second postseason All-Big Ten recognition for Miller as he was named to the All-Freshman team, while the nods for Blevins, Fisher and Goldson are their first.
Blevins led the Wolverines with 11 points (four goals, three assists) and was just one of two players to start all 16 matches this season. The midfielder scored two penalty-kick goals for the Maize and Blue and had a three-point match with a goal and an assist against Cleveland State. Blevins was named the captain of the squad and logged 1,282 minutes on the pitch.
Miller, who started all 16 matches and played all but five minutes, anchored a backline that helped Michigan to five shutouts in this season. The defender played 1,435 minutes this season and was a key factor in the Wolverine shutouts while taking five shots.
Fisher also was a key factor for the Michigan defense as he appeared in 15 matches with 14 starts in his first season. He logged 1,163 minutes on the pitch and added one assist against Maryland.
Goldson earned a starting spot between the pipes after coming in off the bench against Creighton and making four saves and followed it up with a career-best seven saves at Maryland in his first collegiate start. The freshman keeper made 43 saves in 12 appearances and carried a .729 save percentage while earning four shutouts.
Senior Bode Saul was Michigan's Sportsmanship Award honoree after appearing in three matches with one start. The senior midfielder scored his first collegiate goal against Cleveland State and recorded 66 minutes of action in 2023.
