• Record: 7-8 overall, 0-5 Big Ten Conference (6th Place)
The Michigan men's lacrosse team had a program-record seven-game winning streak to start the season and established numerous offensive program records in a 2022 campaign that proved to be another step towards Big Ten and national prominence.

Team Highlights
• The offense set a new single-season mark of 340 points (211 goals, 129 assists -- both program records), besting the previous total of 245 set in the 2017 season.
• The Wolverines ranked in the top-10 nationally in assists per game (8.60, No. 8) face-off winning percentage (.583, No. 7), man-up offense (.510, No. 5) and opponent clear percentage (.801, No. 9).
• In addition to the assists mark, U-M was No. 10 in points-per-game (22.67) and No. 11 in scoring offense (14.07).
• Michigan began the season with a program-best 7-0 start and a ranked win over No. 17 Delaware on March 5.
• Through five games, U-M was ranked as high at No. 13 -- the highest in program history -- in both the USILA Coaches and Inside Lacrosse Media Polls.
• U-M was ranked in both polls for five weeks, the most in program history, and received votes in both polls for three weeks.
• For the first time in program history, U-M started the season with four consecutive 20-plus-goal contests.
• The Wolverines went 0-5 in Big Ten play, dropping three of the five matchups by fewer than two goals. Losses came in overtime at Penn State (9-8), No. 3 Rutgers (13-12) in Ann Arbor, and 14-12 against No. 11 Ohio State in Columbus.
• Following the season, head coach Kevin Conry signed a multi-year contract extension.

Individual Highlights
• Junior Josh Zawada became the program's single-season and career scoring leader with 148 points which includes sitting atop the record book in assists (64). He ranks third all-time in goals (93) and is nine away from tying Brent Noseworthy's school record of 102. Zawada set new season standards with 77 points, 43 goals and 34 assists, and set a new standard for shots in a season (133) and shots on goal (89).
• Zawada now owns the three highest single-game scoring outputs in Wolverine history after scoring 11 points vs. Detroit (five goals, six assists), and 10 versus Bellamine (5G, 5A) and Canisius (7G)
• Zawada (77), Michael Boehm (63) and Ryan Cohen (53) surpassed the school record for points in a season, besting Noseworthy and Alex Buckanavage's mark of 48 points from the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Zawada (34), Boehm (30) and Cohen (24) also bested Buckanavage's single-season record for assists (23).
• Sophomore Justin Wietfeldt ended the season with a winning percentage of .615 (120-for-195) to rank No. 4 in the NCAA and second in the Big Ten. The percentage is the top mark in school history for a season, while his 65 groundball pickups ranks fourth.
• Rowlett collected 75 ground balls on the year for the third-best mark in school history, winning 124 of 224 faceoffs to earn a percentage of .555, the second-best number in school history.
• The duo collectively won 58 percent of draws on the year, ranking No. 7 in the NCAA and third in the Big Ten.
• Sophomore goalie Shane Carr, in his first season as a full-time starter, stopped 181 saves to rank second all-time, and had a save percentage of .536 and 11.32 goals-against average to rank third in both categories.
• In Big Ten weekly honors, Zawada earned the Offensive Player of the Week on three occasions, while Cohen earned Freshman of the Week five times. Boehm (Offensive) and Carr (Specialist) also earned Big Ten honors.
• Junior Ryan Schriber set the program single-season goal by a long pole with five tallies.
