ATLANTA, Ga. -- The University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team finished 22nd with 36 points at the 2022 NCAA Championships, which wrapped up Saturday (March 26) at McAuley Aquatic Center.
Gal Groumi kicked into gear on the last 50 yards to finish seventh in the 200-yard butterfly B final with a time of 1:41.78 to finish 15th overall. During the morning prelims, he qualified 15th with a time of 1:41.64.
In the final event of the meet, the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Bence Szabados, Cam Peel, Patrick Callan and Bora Unalmis raced to a 22nd-place finish with a time of 2:52.27.
In other prelims, Jared Daigle swam a 1:41.71 to finish 32nd in the 200-yard backstroke. Ross Todd missed the plaform diving B final by just four spots, finishing 20th with a score of 314.60.
