• Miller, Bernstein Named B1G Athlete, Coach of Year; Brown Earns All-Conference Nod (5/5/2022)
Kari Miller (April 26)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- Sophomore Kari Miller was named the Co-Big Ten Athlete of the Week for the third time this season and fourth in her career after helping Michigan to a 2-0 weekend with wins over Illinois (April 22) and Northwestern (April 24). She went 2-0 at the top spot in singles and combined with Andrea Cerdan for a 2-0 mark at No. 2 in doubles play. In U-M's 4-1 win over Illinois, Miller got a 6-2, 6-4 win at the top spot against Kate Duong to account for Michigan's second point. She and Cerdan got a 6-2 win in doubles against the Illini. Helping Michigan to its 10th Big Ten win of the season in a 4-1 victory over Northwestern, Miller clinched the match with a 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 win over No. 113-ranked Clarissa Hand. Miller and Cerdan also clinched the doubles point for the Maize and Blue with a 7-6 (4) win at No. 2, winning the final five points. » Big Ten Release
Kari Miller (March 15)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- Sophomore Kari Miller was named the Big Ten Athlete of the Week for the second time this season and third in her career after helping Michigan to a 2-0 weekend with wins over Indiana (March 12) and Columbia (March 13). She picked up a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 win over No. 121 Akanksha Bhan of Columbia as Michigan rallied from a 2-0 deficit to get the win. She also teamed up with Merri Kelly for a 1-1 mark on the doubles court, helping Michigan clinch the doubles point against Indiana. She was leading Lara Schneider of Indiana, 6-1, 4-2, when the match was abandoned after Michigan had clinched a 4-1 win. » Big Ten Release
Kari Miller (Feb. 22)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- Sophomore Kari Miller was named the Big Ten Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career after leading No. 18 Michigan to a 7-0 shutout win over Princeton on Sunday (Feb. 20). On the doubles court, she teamed up with freshman Julia Fliegner to clinch the match's first point with a 7-5 win at No. 3. In singles action, she ran her dual-match record to a perfect 4-0 at the top spot in a 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 win over No. 24-ranked Victoria Hu. » Big Ten Release
