• Today's win marks Michigan's first 11-0 start since the 2006 season (11-2) and third in the last 25 years (1997, 12-0).
• The Wolverines improved to 72-23-2 in 98 all-time against Illinois with six straight wins in the series.
• Quarterback J.J. McCarthy has matched Dennis Franklin (1972) for the most consecutive wins without a loss to begin his career as starting quarterback (10-0).
• U-M has won 15 consecutive home games, the longest active streak in the Big Ten.
• The Wolverines are in the midst of a stretch of 13 consecutive conference wins, matching a streak from 2003-04. It's the program's longest such streak since winning 16 straight conference matchups between 1996-1998.
• The game-winning field goal was delivered courtesy of Jake Moody. It was Moody's fourth successful conversion on the day, matching the single-season record for most field goals made in a season at Michigan (25; Remy Hamilton, 1994). It also gave Moody 65 made field goals for his career, which set a new career program record at Michigan, passing Garrett Rivas (64, 2003-06).
• U-M has scored points on its opening possession in nine of 11 games with seven touchdowns.
• Over its last six games, U-M has not allowed a point in the fourth quarter.
• The 123 rushing yards U-M compiled in the first half would have been the fourth-highest game total allowed by Illinois this season. It is the most rushing yards allowed in any half by UI this season. Michigan's game total of 168 rushing yards was the second-most allowed by the Illini all year.
• Blake Corum surpassed Tony Boles (1,408 yards, 1988) to crack the top 10 all-time in single-season rushing yards.
• Corum's eighth consecutive 100-yard rushing performance gave him the longest streak by a Wolverine since his coach Mike Hart in 2007.
• Freshman running back CJ Stokes reached a new career high with 11 carries.
• Freshman tight end Colston Loveland finished with three receptions for 50 yards marking a new career high.
• Illinois running back Chase Brown's rushing touchdown with 7:43 remaining in the third quarter was the first third-quarter touchdown allowed by the Wolverines this season. Illinois scored twice in the third quarter.
• Freshman defensive lineman Mason Graham and freshman cornerback Will Johnson both set a new career high with each recording four tackles.
• Ronnie Bell's career-long 40-yard punt return helped set up a Michigan field goal in the beginning of the fourth quarter.
