Season-Low 287 Moves Wolverines into Contention at Arizona State

» With a season-low 287 (-1), the University of Michigan women's golf team flirted with the overall lead but finished day two of the PING/ASU Invitational in the second position with a 578 (+2) 36-hole total, two shots behind host Arizona State.
» Freshman Monet Chun used six birdies to post a career-low 70 (-2), while junior Ashley Lau had three birdies and an eagle for a 70 (-2) to pace the Wolverines in the second round.
» Senior Ashley Kim carded an even-par 72 in the second round and is tied for sixth, along with Chun, at 142 (-2).
» The Wolverines produced 16 birdies and an eagle on the second day.
» Michigan will play the final round with Arizona State and Northwestern off the No. 1 tee starting at 7:30 a.m. MST/PDT.
