Wolverines Conclude Fall Season at ASU Thunderbird

» Michigan wrapped up the fall portion of it season at the three-day ASU Thunderbird.

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team completed the fall portion of its season by competing at the three-day ASU Thunderbird at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
Michigan had six players in action in Jaedan Brown, Nicole Hammond, Julia Fliegner, Anca Craciun, Andrea Cerdan and Lanie Van Linge.
Fliegner paced the Maize and Blue with a pair of singles wins, while Hammond, Craciun, Brown and Cernda each won a singles match in the final fall competition of the year.
On the doubles court, Michigan had two of its three pairs record a 2-1 record. Brown and Fliegner won their first two matches before falling in the final for a 2-1 mark on the weekend. Hammond and Cerdan won their first and last matches to finish the competition with a 2-1 record as well, as they capped the weekend with a 7-5 win over an Arizona State duo.
Michigan will conclude tournament action when the calendar flips to 2022, hosting the three-day Michigan Invitational (Jan. 14-16) at the Varsity Tennis Center.
