
Big Ten Announces Second Phase of Michigan 2020-21 Ice Hockey Schedule

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- The Big Ten Conference announced the second phase of the 2020-21 Big Ten Ice Hockey schedule Friday (Dec. 18), and the University of Michigan will resume play on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 8-9, in home-and home series against Michigan State.
The Wolverines will host the Spartans at Yost Ice Arena on Friday (Jan. 8), then the teams will head to East Lansing to round out the series.
Michigan will take on Ohio State for the first time this season on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 15-16 at Yost. The Buckeyes ended the first half of the season at 3-5-1 and sit in third place in the Big Ten standings with 10 points. Michigan will make a trip to Columbus on Friday and Saturday Feb. 19-20.
The Wolverines look to even their season series with Notre Dame when they face off on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 21-22, in South Bend, Ind.
Penn State will come to town on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 3-4, to kickstart a five-game homestand for Michigan. The Nittany Lions and Wolverines split the first series of the season in State College, Pa., on Dec. 2-3.
Michigan State will make a return visit to Yost for a Tuesday, Feb. 9, contest. The Spartans sit last in the league standings with two points, but MSU played the fewest number of conference games (four) in the first half of the schedule.
After sweeping Wisconsin in Madison on Nov. 19-20, Michigan will host the Badgers on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 13-14, and seek to continue to build upon a five-game series win streak.
Arizona State will make a return to Ann Arbor on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27. The Wolverines topped the Sun Devils, 8-1 and 3-0, in the season opener.
Michigan will face No. 1-ranked Minnesota on Friday and Saturday, March 5-6, in Minneapolis. Currently sitting at 8-0-0, the Gophers have accumulated 24 points for first place in the standings.
The Wolverines' regular-season finale will take place Wednesday, March 10, when they battle Michigan State at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing.
The Big Ten Tournament will be held at a single site from March 18-20 in a single-elimination format. Schedule, site and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
There remains no public access at events due to Big Ten policy currently in effect. However, fans are encouraged to cheer on the Wolverines virtually via the Hail From Home page, and cutouts to be placed inside Yost are available for purchase for $45 each. » Details
