ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team, in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, announced its 20-game conference schedule on Monday (Nov. 23).
The Wolverines will kick off the 2020-21 conference season at Illinois on Dec. 19 and will conclude the season at home against Northwestern at home on either March 5 or 6. The Big Ten Tournament will run from March 9-13 in Indianapolis.
U-M will face Northwestern, Michigan State, Ohio State, Illinois, Wisconsin, Purdue and Minnesota twice, while facing the remaining six teams just once.
Television designations and start times will be announced at a later date. All conference contests not selected for linear TV will be streamed by Big Ten Network Plus.
Michigan will begin the 2020-21 season at home against Central Michigan on Wednesday (Nov. 25) at 12:30 p.m. U-M will travel to Oakland to face the Golden Grizzlies on Friday (Nov. 27) at 6 p.m. The remainder of Michigan's non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
There will be no public access at events due to Big Ten policy currently in effect. U-M fans are encouraged to support our students from home (#HailFromHome) safely and distantly. Fans should not gather in crowds or participate in "watch parties." The department continues to work with local, state and national health experts on best practices.
Student-athletes, officials and game day staff will follow specific health and safety guidelines throughout Crisler Center and accompanying facilities to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.
