• Hillmon, Three-Time Honoree Thome Named All-Big Ten First Teamers (3/4/2019)
Naz Hillmon (Feb. 25)
Big Ten Freshman of the Week and Player of the Week Honor Roll -- Freshman Naz Hillmon was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week and to the Player of the Week honor roll. It is her sixth freshman of the week honor, tying the program record. Hillmon put together a pair of 20-point performances in Michigan's two games. In U-M's win over Rutgers (Feb. 21), Hillmon had 21 points on 8-for-13 shooting to go with seven rebounds in 26 minutes. Against Michigan State (Feb. 24), Hillmon recorded her seventh double-double of the season with a career-high 27 points on 11-for-13 shooting and 11 boards. She also swiped a career-high six steals in the game.
Hallie Thome (Feb. 18)
Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll -- Senior Hallie Thome was named to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll after becoming the third player in program history to reach 2,000 career points. In Michigan's 67-58 win over Indiana (Feb. 14), Thome put together a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds for her fourth double-dip of the season. The lefty crossed the 2,000-point mark in Michigan's 70-56 win at Illinois (Feb. 17), scoring 14 points with three rebounds. She is now up to 2,013 career points, ranking third all-time at U-M. » Full Release
Hallie Thome (Feb. 15)
Lisa Leslie Award Top 10 -- For the second consecutive season, senior Hallie Thome has made the top 10 cut for the Lisa Leslie Award. Named after the three-time All-American and 1994 National Player of the Year, the award recognizes the top centers in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. Thome has four double-doubles on the season and currently sits at 1,999 career points. As a senior, she is averaging 12.3 points and 6.1 rebounds in 25.9 minutes per game.
Naz Hillmon (Feb. 11)
Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Freshman Naz Hillmon was named the Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week for the second straight week, earning her fifth weekly honor of the season. Hillmon put together a pair of double-doubles as the Wolverines extended their winning streak to four games. In Michigan's 67-61 win over Nebraska (Feb. 7), Hillmon tallied game highs in both points (18) and rebounds (11) in 26 minutes of action. Three days later at Penn State (Feb. 10), Hillmon went for 19 points on 6-for-10 shooting and 11 rebounds. Hillmon scored six straight points in the later stages of the fourth quarter, pulling Michigan back from a four-point deficit to a two-point lead at Penn State. Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Freshman Naz Hillmon was named the Big Ten co-Freshman of the Week, earning her fourth weekly honor of the season. Hillmon scored a team-high 20 points on 8-for-9 shooting to go with eight rebounds in Michigan's win at Wisconsin (Feb. 3). It was her team-leading sixth 20-point game of the season. Hillmon also turned in eight points and four rebounds in Michigan's win over No. 13-ranked Iowa (Feb. 1). She shot 57.9 percent from the floor over the two games, averaging 14.0 points per contest. » Full Release

Big Ten Freshman of the Week, Honor Roll -- Freshman Naz Hillmon was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week and to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll after a pair of double-figure scoring games. In Michigan's come-from-behind win against Ohio State (Jan. 20), Hillmon scored a game-high 20 points on 9-for-12 shooting with eight rebounds. Hillmon scored the game-winning bucket, corralling an offensive rebound and scoring with seven seconds on the clock. At No. 22 Iowa (Jan. 17), Hillmon scored 16 points on 8-for-12 shooting and grabbed six boards. It is Hillmon's third Freshman of the Week honor this season and the first time she has made the Honor Roll. » Full Release
Hallie Thome (Jan. 14)
Big Ten Player of the Week -- Senior Hallie Thome was named the Big Ten Player of the Week after recording a pair of double-doubles. In Michigan's 79-78 overtime win against Northwestern (Jan. 8), Thome scored 17 points on 7-for-8 shooting from the floor and a 3-for-4 performance at the free throw line. She also grabbed 11 boards with two assists and three blocks in the contest. At No. 9 Maryland (Jan. 12), the lefty scored a game-high 25 points on 11-for-16 shooting from the floor to go with 10 boards. She has crossed the 1,900-point mark for her career (1,911), becoming the third Wolverine in school history to reach 1,900. This is the second weekly honor of Thome's career. » Full Release

Co-Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Freshman Naz Hillmon was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second straight week after recording her second double-double of the season. In Michigan's 70-47 win over Morgan State (Dec. 15), Hillmon went for 17 points on 8-for-12 shooting and grabbed a career-high 11 boards. She also tallied three assists and one block. Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Freshman Naz Hillmon was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after averaging 20.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in U-M's two wins last week. Against LIU Brooklyn (Dec. 6), Hillmon recorded the first double-double of her career with 24 points on 10-for-11 shooting and 10 boards. In Michigan's victory at Oakland (Dec. 9), she just missed a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. She is currently leading the country in field goal percentage at 77.4. » Full Release
Hallie Thome (Nov. 20)
Wade Trophy Watch List -- Senior Hallie Thome was named to the list of candidates for the 2019 Wade Trophy presented to the best player in college women's basketball by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). Thome is averaging 17.3 points per game on 70.3 percent shooting to go with 7.7 rebounds per contest. The lefty is currently second in the Big Ten in scoring average and fourth in shooting percentage. She has a pair of 20-point games already this season and a double-double. For her career, she is up to third all-time at Michigan in scoring with 1,743 points. » Full Release
Hallie Thome (Nov. 12)
Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll -- Senior Hallie Thome was named to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll to begin the 2018-19 season. Thome recorded a double-double of 25 points on 9-for-14 shooting to go with 10 boards in 28 minutes of action in Michigan's 88-40 win over Mount St. Mary's (Nov. 9). The lefty also had three steals and two assists in the win. Thome has now reached the 20-point mark in five straight games dating back to last season.
Hallie Thome (Oct. 26)
Lisa Leslie Award Watch List -- Senior Hallie Thome was named to the Lisa Leslie Award watch list for the second consecutive season. Named after the three-time All-American and 1994 National Player of the Year, the award recognizes the top centers in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. Thome is coming off a junior campaign in which she averaged 17.4 points per game on 61.6 percent shooting while grabbing 7.0 boards in 31.8 minutes per game. She ended the season with four straight 20-point games and scored in double figures 30 times. She tallied a team-high six double-doubles on the season and shot a career-best 77.5 percent from the free-throw line. Last season, she made the top-10 cut for the Leslie Award.Â
