TULSA, Okla. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team had two players reach the second round of the singles main draw to highlight action at the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships at the Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park.
Senior Giulia Pairone went 1-1 at the event, winning a three-set match in the first round Wednesday (Oct. 9) before dropping a tight three-set match in the second round Thursday.
Senior Chiara Lommer pulled out her first win of the fall season in three sets in the first round but saw her tourney run end in the second round at the hands of No. 3 seed Alexa Graham from North Caroina.
Michigan will continue fall tennis action next week, traveling to Michigan State for the ITA Midwest Regional Championships. The six-day tournament will run Oct. 17-22.
