CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team wrapped up action at the three-day Miami Fall Invite on Sunday (Sept. 23), with senior Brienne Minor compiling a 3-0 mark in singles action to lead the Wolverines at the event.
Minor picked up three straight-sets wins in the singles A draw, including wins over No. 65 Ida Jarlskog of Florida (6-4, 6-2) and No. 92 Tea Jandric of Ole Miss (6-1, 6-4). Finals matches were not held in singles.
In the singles B draw, sophomore Bella Lorenzini and junior Lera Patiuk each won their first two matches before each falling in the semifinal round on Sunday.
Freshman Anca Craciun went 2-1 in singles during her collegiate debut, with junior Chiara Lommer and freshman Lanie Van Linge each picking up a singles win at the event as well.
On the doubles court, Lorenzini and Craciun went 3-0 in the B draw to win the title. After a pair of tiebreak wins in the first two rounds, Craciun and Lorenzini came away with a 6-3 win in the final match over Alexa Bortles and Tereza Janatova of Ole Miss.
Next up for the Maize and Blue is the ITA All-American, Oct. 2-7, in Pacific Palisades, California.
