
Bock Leads U.S. to Gold at Senior Pan Am Championships

LIMA, Peru -- Sophomore Cameron Bock of the University of Michigan men's gymnastics team captured four individual medals en route to leading the United States to a team gold medal at the 2018 Senior Pan Am Championships in Lima, Peru, on Saturday (Sept. 15). The meet was the first senior international meet of Bock's career, as well as his first international medals.
Bock took bronze in the all-around with a mark of 81.999, contested on Friday (Sept. 14). He also earned silver on pommel horse (13.567), and secured bronze medals on floor exercise with a 14.033 and on parallel bars with a 14.233 during individual and finals on Friday.
As a team, the U.S. marked a 246.000, outlasting Colombia (243.999) and Brazil (243.301). The result earns Team USA a team berth for the 2019 edition of the championships held next summer in the same location.
