• Michigan falls to 10-2 with today's loss and will now await a bowl game selection. The team finished 8-1 in league play, its best Big Ten record since going 7-1 in 2004.
• Michigan finishes as co-champion of the Big Ten East Division, its first division title since the conference introduced divisions in 2011. However, co-champion Ohio State will represent the East in next week's Big Ten Championship Game based on its tiebreaker edge (head-to-head win).
• In the 115th all-time meeting between Michigan and Ohio State (101st consecutive meeting), Michigan slipped to 58-51-6 all-time.
• Shea Patterson completed 20-of-33 pass attempts for 187 yards with three touchdowns and one interception before leaving the game with an injury in the fourth quarter. He later returned and played one drive before giving way to Brandon Peters and Joe Milton.
• Patterson has accounted for three or more touchdowns (passing or rushing) in six of Michigan's 12 contests this season.
• Both Brandon Peters and Joe Milton played in relief of Patterson. Peters went 1-for-1 on his lone pass attempt for eight yards and led a scoring drive (Ben Mason rushing score.) Milton went 2-for-3 passing with one interception, including a 43-yard connection with Nico Collins. He also ran the ball once for a four-yard touchdown, the first score of his Michigan career.
• Chris Evans caught a nine-yard touchdown pass with less than a minute remaining in the first half, marking his second career receiving score and his first this season.
• Nate Schoenle recovered a fumbled kickoff return from the Buckeyes with 0:45 remaining in the first half. Evans' touchdown was the next play from scrimmage.
• Michigan's first points were scored by field goal kicker Jake Moody. Moody was 2-of-2 on field goals for the day, converting from 31 and 39 yards. He is now a perfect 8-of-8 on the season.
• Nico Collins scored Michigan's first touchdown, a 23-yard score. Collins later recorded his second multi-touchdown game of the season when he caught a 12-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, upping his season total to six receiving touchdowns. That is second among all Wolverines (Donovan Peoples-Jones, 7).
• Today marked the eighth game this season in which Collins recorded at least one catch over 20 yards, most among U-M pass-catchers and his fifth game with at least one catch of 50 yards or more.
• In the fourth quarter Ben Mason recorded a rushing touchdown, his seventh of the year and the ninth of his career. He ranks second on the team in the category (Karan Higdon, 10).
• Longtime Michigan Marching Band chief administrator Maggie St. Clair died Saturday morning after suffering a medical emergency just before departing for Columbus. Maggie took care of most of the behind-the-scenes activities for the band and had been with the university for 42 years. Ohio State honored her with a moment of silence prior to the game.
