Wolverines Wrap Up Action at ASU Thunderbird

» Alyvia Jones, Lanie Van Linge, Anca Craciun, Bella Lorenzini and Lera Patiuk represented Michigan at the event.
» Jones led the Wolverines at the event, finishing with a 2-0 singles record. Craciun (2-1), Lorenzini (1-2) and Van Linge (1-1) each picked up singles win during the weekend.
» Michigan has completed the fall portion of its season, during which each player is competing as an individual. U-M will have one tournament remaining in January before turning its attention to dual matches.

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team completed fall action at the three-day ASU Thunderbird on Sunday (Nov. 11) at the Whiteman Tennis Center. The Maize and Blue compiled a 4-1 singles mark on the final day of play to highlight its time at the tournament.
Sophomore Alyvia Jones paced the Maize and Blue at the event, going 2-0 in singles action with wins over Pepperdine's Dzina Milovanovic and Ploburg Plipuech of Kansas. Freshman Anca Craciun also grabbed two wins at the event, finishing with a 2-1 singles mark.
Sophomore Bella Lorenzini and freshman Lanie Van Linge each picked up singles wins at the tournament, both coming on the final day of action.
Lorenzini went 3-0 in doubles play at the tournament, teaming up with Van Linge, junior Lera Patiuk and Jones for victories on the doubles court.
Michigan has completed the fall portion of its schedule, with just one tournament remaining before turning its attention to dual-match action. U-M will next be in action as host of the Michigan Invitational, Jan. 19-21, 2019, at the Varsity Tennis Center.
