EVANSTON, Ill. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team wrapped up play at the three-day Wildcat Invite on Sunday (Oct. 7), hosted at Northwestern's Combe Tennis Center. Â
The Maize and Blue dropped just three singles matches over the weekend, with the freshman duo of Anca Craciun and Lanie Van Linge combining for a 7-0 mark. Craciun went 4-0, with Van Linge compiling a 3-0 record on the weekend. Junior Lera Patiuk, sophomore Bella Lorenzini and sophomore Alyvia Jones each went 2-1 at the event.
Michigan competed in doubles on the first two days of competition but with the invite forced indoors all weekend due to rain, there were only singles matches on the final day.
Michigan will take a weekend off before hosting the ITA Midwest Regional Championships at the Varsity Tennis Center, Oct. 18-23.
