» Michigan posted a 302 opening-round tally to position itself 15th after the first day of North Carolina's Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. With tight scoring, the Wolverines are just six shot back from cracking the top 10.
» Using a team-round-best four birdies and 11 pars, sophomore Ashley Kim posted her first sub-par round of the season with a 71 (-1) and is tied for 14th in the 96-player field.
» Including four of the top 10 teams, the Ruth's Chris Invitational features 11 of 18 teams ranked among the top 75 nationally.
» Originally set for a 9 a.m. start, the first round was moved to noon following the effects of Hurricane Michael sweeping through the area.
» U-M will play with Charlotte and Tulane for Saturday's (Oct. 13) second round at 9:54 a.m. off the 10th tee.
