» The University of Michigan women's golf team posted a 299 team tally and is tied for 14th after 18 holes of North Carolina's Ruth's Chris Invitational being held at the Finley Golf Course. The Wolverines are just three shots back of the top 10.
» Using three birdies to erase her three bogeys, senior Emily White guided the Wolverines with an opening-round 72 (E) and is tied for 24th.
» Closing her final eight holes one-under par, freshman Ashley Kim carded a 74 (+2) and is tied for 41st, while junior Elodie Van Dievoet birdied two of her final three holes for a 75 (+3) and is tied for 56th.
» Including four of the top 10 teams, the Ruth's Chris Invitational features 12 of 18 teams ranked among the top 50 nationally.
» Michigan will play the second round with Virginia (298) and Iowa (299), starting at 9:54 a.m. off the 10th tee.
