• Today marked the second meeting between Michigan and BYU. The only other previous meeting was in the 1984 Holiday Bowl, a 24-17 Cougars victory.
• The win over No. 22 BYU was the first over a ranked team for Michigan since 2013 when the Wolverines topped No. 14 Notre Dame 41-30 in Michigan Stadium. Michigan is now 3-1 at home vs. ranked teams since the beginning of the 2011 season.
• The shutout by Michigan was the first since 2012 vs. Illinois (45-0). The last time BYU was held scoreless was 2003 vs. Utah (3-0).
• For the second straight week, Michigan shut out its opponent in the first three quarters.
• BYU managed only 105 yards of total offense after entering the game with an average of 432.3 yards per game.
• The 50 rushing yards were the lowest for BYU since 2011 when Utah held them to 11 yards. The last time BYU had less than 100 yards passing was in 2013 vs. Nevada (98).
• Michigan tallied a season-high 448 yards of total offense and rushed for over 200 yards for the third straight game.
• The Wolverines converted on their first 13 red zone possessions of 2015 (11 touchdowns and two field goals) before having a fourth-quarter drive stall at the BYU 16-yard line and turning the ball over on downs.
• The 90-yard scoring drive on 10 plays in the second quarter was Michigan's second scoring drive of 90 or more yards this season. A 76-yard touchdown run by Ty Isaac capped a four play, 90-yard drive vs. UNLV (Sept. 19).
• After a punt on the opening possession, Michigan scored touchdowns on each of its next four drives. The last time the Wolverines scored on at least four straight possessions was vs. Appalachian State in 2014 when they scored five consecutive touchdowns.
• The Wolverines forced BYU to punt on each of the first 11 possessions, including seven three-and-outs.
• BYU was held to just 10 total yards of offense in the second quarter. Over the last three games, Michigan has held its opponents to 51 yards of total offense in the second quarter.
• Michigan outgained BYU in total offense 317-62 in the first half.
• Today's announced attendance of 108,940 marks the 261st consecutive game of more than 100,000 fans at Michigan Stadium.
• Fifth-year senior quarterback Jake Rudock scored two rushing touchdowns, his first two rushing touchdowns as a Wolverine. He had eight rushing touchdowns while at Iowa.
• Rudock accounted for three touchdowns overall with one passing and two rushing, matching a career high.
• Junior running back De'Veon Smith recorded his fourth career 100-yard rushing performance and second of the season. He went over the 100-yard mark in the second quarter and finished with 125 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries.
• Smith scored on a 60-yard touchdown run, his fourth rushing touchdown of the season and fifth overall. He now has 10 career rushing touchdowns.
• The 60-yard touchdown run by Smith marked Michigan's second rushing score of over 50 yards on the season.
• Rudock connected on a 41-yard pass to junior tight end Jake Butt, the longest pass play of the year for Michigan. The previous long was 28 yards. It was also the longest reception of Butt's career.
• Fresh off becoming a U.S. citizen, senior wide receiver Amara Darboh notched his second receiving touchdown of the year on a four-yard pass from Rudock in the second quarter.
• Junior tight end Khalid Hill caught a 19-yard pass for his first catch of the season and a career long reception. He finished the game with two catches for 39 yards.
• Junior tight end Henry Poggi made his first career reception, a two-yard gain on the game's first play from scrimmage.
• Senior defensive tackle Willie Henry recorded his first sack of the year and now has 4.5 career sacks.
• Senior defensive end Mario Ojemudia now has 7.5 career sacks after his sack in the third quarter.
• Junior defensive tackle Maurice Hurst picked up his second sack of the season.
• Senior kicker Kenny Allen made a 40-yard field goal with 1:02 left in the second quarter and is now 4-of-5 on field goal attempts this year.
