MALIBU, Calif. -- Senior Ronit Yurovsky of the University of Michigan women's tennis team wrapped up singles action at the inaugural Oracle/ITA Masters, dropping a pair of matches to top-15 opponents this weekend (Sept. 18-19) at the Malibu Racquet Club.
Yurovsky forced a second-set tiebreaker in her opening round match against No. 9 Hayley Carter but could not extend the match to a third frame, falling 6-4, 7-6 (4).
In the second round, the Wolverine senior fell to No. 14 Astra Sharma in straight sets (6-4, 6-4). Yurovsky is currently ranked No. 19.
Yurovsky continues her fall season at the ITA All-American, which runs Oct. 8-11 in Pacific Palisades, California.
