• Michigan improved to 23-9-1 in the all-time series against Pittsburgh. The Wolverines have won each of the last three meetings.

• Sophomore Domenic Abounader owns three career pins. He has earned bonus points in five matches this season.

• Freshman Garrett Sutton is the sixth Wolverine wrestler to earn his first varsity win this season, joining freshmen Davonte Mahomes and Alec Pantaleo, sophomore/freshmen Ayoola Olapo and George Fisher and fifth-year senior Zebulon Hilyard.

• Junior/sophomore Taylor Massa will remain at 174 pounds for the remainder of the season. He had wrestled 165 in all previous varsity competitions over the last three seasons. He took second place at 174 pounds at last season's MSU Open.
