TEMPE, Ariz. -- Freshman Kate Fahey made it to the singles final match before falling in two sets (6-2, 6-4) to Arizona State's Desirae Krawczyk as the University of Michigan women's tennis team completed action at the ASU Thunderbird on Sunday (Nov. 15) at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
Fahey dropped the final match after ripping through her first four matches in straight sets. Sophomore Mira Ruder-Hook won a pair of singles matches on the weekend, while classmate Kara Hall picked up a win.
On the doubles court, Ruder-Hook and Fahey won their first match but dropped the next two.
Michigan is now done with fall action and will not return to the courts until the calendar changes to 2016. U-M will host the Michigan Invitational, Jan. 16-18, at the Varsity Tennis Center to start the spring season.
