Michigan to Host ITA Midwest Regional Championships

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team will host the six-day ITA Midwest Regional Championships this week (Oct. 22-27) at the Varsity Tennis Center. The winners of each draw (singles and doubles) will receive berths to the ITA National Indoor Championships.
Michigan is hosting the event for the third time in the past six seasons after playing host in the fall of 2010 and 2013. U-M has swept the singles and doubles titles the last two seasons at the event.
The tournament marks the only fall action for the Wolverines at the Varsity Tennis Center. Admission is free, with the tournament being held indoors. Consolation action will be played outdoors, weather permitting.
