• Today's announced attendance of 102,824 marks the 253rd consecutive game of more than 100,000 fans at Michigan Stadium.
• The Wolverines improved to 6-0 in the all-time series against Miami University.
• Today's win represented the 75th of head coach Brady Hoke's career. He improved to 75-64 over 12 seasons as a head coach.
• Michigan has won 17 straight non-conference home games, the second-longest active streak in the Big Ten. The Wolverines have won 19 straight September home games. Hoke improved to 11-0 against non-conference opponents in Michigan Stadium and 13-5 (.722) in all non-conference matchups as the Wolverines' head coach.
• Michigan's game captains were junior linebacker Joe Bolden, fifth-year senior guard Joey Burzynski, senior/junior defensive lineman Alex Mitropoulos-Rundus and junior wide receiver Dennis Norfleet.
• U-M hosted several commemorative events in honor of Military Appreciation Day, including a pregame moment of silence, a 21-gun salute conducted by the Washtenaw Honor Guard, an appearance from Challenger -- an American bald eagle -- and a flyover conducted by five L-39 Albatros aircrafts from the Black Diamond Jet Team. The Wolverines also recognized veterans Ken Weinert and Robert Fletcher.
• Michigan improved to 10-for-10 in the red zone this season and has scored touchdowns on 8-of-10 trips inside the 20-yard line (.800)
• The Wolverines held Miami to 2-for-12 on third downs.
• Michigan held Miami to 33 rushing yards -- the fewest for a U-M opponent since Bowling Green recorded 32 rushing yards on Sept. 25, 2010.
• Fifth-year senior quarterback Devin Gardner completed 13-of-20 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 25 yards on six carries. He has accounted for at least two touchdowns in 16 of his last 20 games.
• Gardner upped his career passing yards to 4,986 to move to eighth among U-M's all-time leaders in the category. He passed Steve Smith (4,860, 1980-83) with his effort today. He needs 365 yards to reach the seventh spot, currently held by Tom Brady (5,351, 1996-99).
• Gardner also claimed sole possession of the seventh position among U-M's all-time career leaders in passing touchdowns with 39, breaking a previous tie with Todd Collins (37, 1991-94). He needs three more to reach the sixth spot, currently held by Steve Smith (42).
• Sophomore running back Derrick Green rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. It is his second 100-yard rushing effort in three games; he has posted 307 rushing yards at home this season. It is also his first multi-touchdown performance and upped his career touchdown total to five.
• Junior/sophomore wide receiver Amara Darboh recorded his first career touchdown on a 17-yard reception in the first quarter. He posted career highs with six receptions and 88 receiving yards. His 26-yard reception in the second quarter was a career long.
• Sophomore wide receiver Da'Mario Jones posted his first career catch -- an 11-yard grab -- in the first quarter.
• Sophomore cornerback Jourdan Lewis registered his first career interception in the first quarter. It was U-M's first turnover of the season.
• Senior defensive end Brennen Beyer registered a sack -- for a 12-yard loss -- in first quarter. It is his second straight game with a sack. He owns four career sacks.
• Freshman defensive back Jabrill Peppers recorded a career-best three tackles.
