Postgame Notes: Michigan 10, Northwestern 9

• Michigan allowed a season-low 12 net rushing yards. The previous low this season was 33 against Miami (Ohio) on Sept. 13.
• Michigan has now rushed for 150-plus yards in five games this season after running for 151 yards today. U-M rushed for 184 yards last week vs. Indiana, marking the second straight game that the Wolverines have surpassed 150 yards and the first back-to-back 150-yard rushing games this season.
• Senior linebacker Jake Ryan posted the first interception of his career in the first quarter.
• Ryan finished the game with a team-high 11 tackles, two off his career high of 13. He posted seven of those stops in the first half.
• Ryan has notched a double-digit tackle performance in four consecutive games.
• After posting one TFL vs. the Wildcats, Ryan (45.0) moved into a tie for sixth place on Michigan's all-time career TFL list with Glen Steele (45, 1994-97).
• Junior wide receiver Devin Funchess has caught at least one pass in 23 straight games, the 10th-longest streak in program history. He needs a catch in one more game to reach the ninth spot, currently held by Desmond Howard (24).
• Sophomore running back De'Veon Smith had career highs in carries (18) as well as rushing yards with 121, and one touchdown. Smith notched his sixth rushing touchdown of the season with 6:49 remaining in the third quarter.
• Sophomore wide receiver Amara Darboh has tallied a reception in five straight games.
• Junior wide receiver Jehu Chesson has hauled in a catch in nine of his last 11 games dating back to last season.
• Sophomore defensive tackle Matthew Godin posted his first career interception in the second quarter.
• Sophomore tight end Jake Butt has posted at least one catch in seven straight games.
• Sophomore defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow registered a career-high five tackles, including one TFL. Glasgow has posted a TFL in back-to-back games.
• Junior defensive end Mario Ojemudia posted a career-best two sacks vs. the Wildcats. He notched his fifth career sack in the second quarter and his sixth career quarterback takedown in the third quarter.
• Today's game captains for Michigan were defensive end Brennen Beyer, defensive back Blake Countess, wide receiver Amara Darboh and center Jack Miller.
• Michigan improves to a 56-15-2 lead in the all-time series, including a 22-7 mark at Northwestern.
• Michigan has won four in a row and nine of 10 against the Wildcats.
• U-M has won six straight games at Northwestern.
• Devin Gardner moved into fifth on Michigan's all-time pass attempts list (732) with his 25 attempts, passing Todd Collins (711, 1991-94) and Tom Brady (711, 1996-99). He now trails Denard Robinson (747, 2009-12) by 15 attempts for fourth.
