• Junior wide receiver Devin Funchess has recorded at least one reception in 19 straight games.
• After completing 13-of-22 passes for 178 yards, senior quarterback Devin Gardner tied Tom Brady (5,351, 1996-99) for seventh on U-M's all-time career passing yardage list.
• With 22 pass attempts, Gardner is now in eighth place on U-M's all-time list with 624. He passed Brian Griese (606, 1994-97) and Jim Harbaugh (620, 1983-86) in tonight's game.
• Gardner completed 6-of-8 passes for 84 yards in the first quarter. He has completed 77.8 percent (28-of-36) of his passes in the first quarter this season.
• Gardner has posted a rushing touchdown in two straight games and has accounted for at least two touchdowns in 17 of his last 23 games.
• Sophomore wide receiver Jehu Chesson has tallied a reception in eight consecutive games.
• After posting two tackles for loss, senior linebacker Jake Ryan (37.5 TFLs) surpassed Mike Hammerstein (37, 1981-85) for 15th on Michigan's all-time TFL list.
• Ryan has recorded a tackle for loss in 29 of his last 37 games.
• Sophomore defensive end Taco Charlton made his first collegiate start against the Scarlet Knights. Charlton finished the game with two tackles for loss, including his second full sack of the season in the third quarter. Charlton has posted a TFL in two consecutive games and four of six contests this season.
• Sophomore defensive tackle Willie Henry has notched a sack in two of U-M's last three games.
• Senior defensive back Delonte Hollowell registered the second TFL of his career when he stopped Rutgers punter Tim Gleeson behind the line of scrimmage on a fake punt attempt in the second quarter.
• Senior defensive back Raymon Taylor has netted a pass breakup in two straight games.
• Senior punter Will Hagerup has booted 60+-yard punts in back-to-back games. After posting a season-best 63-yard punt last week vs. Minnesota, Hagerup notched a 61-yard punt against the Scarlet Knights.
• Tonight's game captains for Michigan were Devin Gardner, Jack Miller, Matt Wile and Jarrod Wilson.
