10/17/2014 12:00:00 AM | Spirit Department
The Michigan spirit squads are loaded with students who are committed to wearing the block M with pride. They represent the Wolverines on the sidelines at Michigan Stadium, courtside at Crisler Center, and in their own annual national competitions. They dedicate long hours at practice and are always there to support their fellow student-athletes.
Leading up to Senior Day on Nov. 22 when football hosts Maryland, MGoBlue.com will be profiling the seniors who selflessly perform for the Maize and Blue. In this series, you will meet the dedicated student-athletes who will graduate soon and go on to truly embody what it means to be the leaders and best.

» Class: Music Performance 300: Video Game Music. The professor, Matthew Thompson, is really enthusiastic. The grading system, which was based on points and trophies like a video game, made the class really fun. Plus you can't beat the material...video games.
» Building on campus: The Bob and Betty Beyster Building. I really like all of the glass that allows you to see all of the people working (usually coding) and the technology around the building. It really reflects the atmosphere of the building.
» Book: "I Am America And So Can You" by Stephen Colbert. I watch The Colbert Report every night. His outlook on a lot of different topics is both hilarious and intelligent.
» Singer/Band: Lindsey Stirling. She is a hip-hop/dubstep violinist and I have seen her twice in concert. Both times were amazing. She puts on a great show and is very passionate about her music.
» Athlete: Spike Albrecht - he is really fun to watch play and he tweeted at Kate Upton, you have to respect that.
» TV Show: The Walking Dead - I like zombies.
» Place to visit: Argo Park on the Huron River - during the fall or summer it's really beautiful and a relaxing place to hang out.
