Michigan now leads the all-time series with Indiana, 15-4-3, including wins in each of the last five meetings and four straight shutouts.
With Michigan's win over Indiana, the Wolverines improve to 11-3-0 overall and 7-1-0 in Big Ten play. U-M is on a four-game winning streak in Big Ten action.
U-M is tied for first place in the Big Ten with Penn State (7-1-0), as the Nittany Lions lost to Rutgers 1-0 today. U-M and PSU will face off on Thursday, Oct. 16, in Ann Arbor.
Michigan has now scored 10 goals in the last three games -- the most for the Wolverines in a three-game span since the first three matches of the 2013 season (11 goals).
With its three goals today, Michigan has tallied three or more goals in five games this season.
Michigan has defeated each of its last three Big Ten opponents by at least two goals -- Nebraska 3-1, Iowa 4-2, and Indiana 3-0.
With her goal and assist today, Nicky Waldeck has tallied 14 points in the last four games, on six goals and two assists. Waldeck now has 10 goals and four assists on the season for a team-best 24 points.
Ani Sarkisian assisted on two goals today, giving her a team-best 10 assists on the season. She has a total of 18 points this season (4G, 10A), which rank second on the team.
Goalkeeper Megan Hinz earned her 10th win (10-1-0) and fifth shutout of the season, including second shutout in Big Ten play.
Jessica Heifetz tallied her second career goal in the win, giving her five points this season (2G, 1A).
