Michigan Head Coach Ronni Bernstein
On the doubles sweep ... "The doubles point was big. It was a little close at No. 2 and No. 3. We let them hang around for a while, but we pulled it out at the end. It was a little up and down, but to get all three wins there was good. I like seeing them win in these tough situations. That gives us confidence. But we're getting leads in some of these matches, and we're not keeping that momentum going. We definitely need to get a little better and execute better."
On Michigan's singles performance ... "The singles was good. Purdue is a good team, and they've got talented players all the way down their lineup. Overall, it was pretty good. Again, there were a few instances where we let them stick around in sets when we got up. I think that's something we need to continue to work on. We just need to keep doing what we've been doing that has gotten us up in those sets. Sometimes we get a little careful, and it's really subtle, like we're stepping back a little bit and waiting for them to miss instead of doing what we've been doing. That's when sets get close. Hopefully, we can continue to work on keeping that foot on the pedal."
