Michigan to Host Wolverine Invitational at Varsity Tennis Center

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team will host the first of two fall events this weekend (Fri-Sun., Oct. 1-3) at the Varsity Tennis Center, welcoming Michigan State, Western Michigan, Purdue and Marquette for the annual Wolverine Invitational. Matches will begin each day at 10 a.m.
The tournament will feature two singles draws with 16 in each draw. Friday's action will consist of two singles matches for each student-athlete, win or lose.
There will be two doubles matches on Saturday, along with a round of singles matches. The three-day tournament will conclude on Sunday with one singles and one doubles match.
Live scoring will be available, along with updated draws at the end of each day. Draws will be announced later this week.
This weekend's tournament marks the first of two fall events for Michigan, as the Wolverines will play host to the USTA/ITA Midwest Championships, Oct. 21-26.
