Mon-Tue., Aug. 9-10 -- Caramia Sitompul finished as the top Wolverine at the 19th GAM Women's Championship after she tied for fifth with a 150 tally (77-73) at Forest Akers West Course in East Lansing, Mich. Louisa Shu (79-77) and Jenn Cleary (78-78) each tied for 19th at 156, while Meagan Bauer tied for 40th (78-83/161) and Shana Bauer tied for 43rd (83-79/152). [ GAM ]
Mon-Tue., Aug. 9-10 -- After an opening round of 75, incoming freshman Chelsea Pezzola followed with an 80 and tied for 95th (155) in the stroke play portion of the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at the Charlotte Country Club in Charlotte, N.C. She did not advance to match play.

Mon-Fri., July 26-30 -- After a 6-and-4 win over Sarah Johnson, Ashley Bauer moved into the Elite Eight of the 94th Michigan Women's Amateur Championship at the St. Clair Shores Country Club. Joining Ashley was sister, Meagan Bauer, who defeated Alexandra Lipa 5-and-3. Unfortunately, both Bauer's were eliminated in the round of eight by 2-and-1 counts as Ashley lost to Amy Meier and Meagan lost to Natalie Brehm. Overall, Ashley Bauer earned the fourth overall seed after closing stroke play qualifying with a 144 (75-69), while Meagan Bauer (79-73/52) earned the 11th seed. Jenn Cleary (78-77/155) was the 16th seed and lost in the first round of match play 2-up to Melissa Beurmann. Shana Bauer (79-81/160) did not advance to match play. [ Site | Match Play ]
Monday, July 19 -- Five Wolverines played at the qualifier for the U.S. Women's Amateur at Radrick Farms in Ann Arbor. After shooting 75s, Meagan (1st) and Ashley (2nd) Bauer are alternates for the field. Other Wolverines playing at the qualifier were Jenn Cleary (77), Caramia Sitompul (81), Min Yean Tan (83) and Shana Bauer (91). Mon-Wed., July 12-14 -- Elaine Crosby just missed out on the 2010 Michigan Women's Open title after tying for third with an even-par 216 (72-73-71) total at the Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, Mich. There were a total of six total U-M players in the field. The list includes: Meagan Bauer (75-79-75) and Louisa Shu (76-76-77) both tied for 29th at 229; Min Yean Tan tied for 38th at 233 (77-77-79); Jenn Cleary tied for 42nd at 235 (75-81-79) and Shana Bauer tied for 51st at 241 (80-82-79). Monday, July 12 -- Using a round of 76 at the Country Club of York in York, Pa., incoming freshman Chelsea Pezzola punched her ticket to the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship. The 2010 U.S. Women's Am will be played Monday through Sunday (August 9-15) at the Charlotte Country Club in Charlotte, N.C. [ U.S. Women's Am | Qualifying Results ]
Wed-Thu., July 7-8 -- Incoming freshman Yugene Lee tied for seventh at the Georgia Women's Open played at the SummerGrove Golf Club. Using five birdies in her opening 69, she closed with a 74 to finish with a one-under 143 36-hole total, just four shots out of the winning total. [ Results ]
Thu-Sun., July 1-4 -- Incoming freshman Alyssa Shimel qualified as one of two amateur's to play in the LPGA's Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic at the Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio. At the event, Shimel opened with an 83 before coming back with a 73 in the second round. She did not advance. Shimel used a qualifying score of 74 to play in the Toledo area professional tour event. Mon-Sat., June 21-26 -- Incoming freshman Alyssa Shimel competed at the 2010 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship at the Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind. After tying for 41st with a 149 (75-74) tally in stroke play, she earned the 44th seed in the 64-player match play. Shimel was eliminated in the first round by 22nd seed Tiffany Lim, 3-and-2. Mon-Tue., June 21-22 -- Caramia Sitompul and Katelin Davis both competed in the 2010 Ohio Women's Open at the Kettenring Country Club in Defiance, Ohio. Davis tied for 30th with a 160 total, while Sitompul tied for 44th with a 171 tally. [ Site ]
Mon-Thu., June 14-17 -- Incoming freshman Chelsea Pezzola finished 10th at the AJGA Sarasota Junior Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club in Sarasota, Fla. After opening with rounds of 77 and 76, Pezzola fired a 72 in the first round to earn the top-10 finish. That same weekend, incoming freshman Yugene Lee tied for 72nd at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship at the Long Cove Club in Hilton Head. [ Site | Rolex Site ]
Mon-Sun., June 7-13 -- Using a 72, Meagan Bauer won her qualifier -- as the amateur -- for the 2010 Teva Championship at the Golf Center at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. However, Bauer was unable to compete at the event due to prior commitments. [ Site ]
Tuesday, May 11 -- Incoming freshman Yugene Lee won the Georgia Class AAA State Championship with 72 at the Country Club of Columbus in Columbus, Ga., while helping Oconee County to the 2010 Class AAA team title. She also helped Oconee County to a runner-up finish at the regional. [ Site ]
