Friday, August 14 -- Junior swimmer Natasha Moodie took home a sixth-place finish in the 50-meterFreestyle (25.85) at the 2009 U.S. Junior Nationals in Federal Way, Wash.
Monday-Thursday, July 20-23-- Nine members of the University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team swam at the 2009 Speedo Champions Series this week on the campus of Miami (Ohio) University in Oxford, Ohio. Senior Margaret Kelly led the way with first-place finishes in the 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter butterfly and the 200-meter individual medley. Sophomore Kristyne Cole took first place in both the 200-meter freestyle and 400-meter freestyle, while fellow classmate Caitlin Dauw took top honors in the 200-meter butterfly. Kelly, Dauw and Cole along with senior Leigh Cole were part of the 400-meter freestyle relay team, which set a new meet record. In the 800-meter freestyle relay, Kelly, L. Cole, K. Cole and sophomore Elizabeth Koselka teamed up to set a new meet record. Others representing U-M at the event were fifth-year senior Lori Morton and sophomores Megan Craig, Liz Johnson and Carleigh Schwartz.[ Full Results]
