Fairways and Greens with Ashley Bauer
SUNDAY, MARCH 1 C Bringing Home Another Trophy
Its always a great feeling hopping on the plane after a good finishing round and even a better feeling coming home with the trophy. As Spring Break came to a close and we hopped on the red eye back to Ann Arbor, we were all bummed that we had to leave the sunshine and that a great trip had come to an end.
As we left Ann Arbor 10 days ago all of us were excited about the opportunity to get out of the snow and shake off some of the rust from the winter. We spent the majority of the trip in Scottsdale, Arizona playing golf, playing golf and playing more golf.
With some help from Michigan Alumni, we were able to play Whisper Rock, Silverleaf and Desert Mountain (all very prestigious courses) and had the opportunity to meet some great people and former Wolverines. After five solid days of practice and playing, we headed two hours north to play in Sedona for the remainder of the week.
Coming off a good week of play, everyone seemed in good spirits and excited about the upcoming tournament.Fortunately, coach was able to get all 10 of us into the field and it gave everyone the chance to get tournament experience.Without question, there were highs and lows to the weekend but when all said and done, it was a successful tournament.A few players set personal season lows, Lydia finished her highest tournament finish, and I even had a hole-in-one (go figure!)
Going to 8:30 a.m. class tomorrow morning doesnt sound too appealing but were back to snow boots, books and hitting mats for a week and half before heading to Florida.
Until then,
Go BLUE!
