
Sebastian Competes at 2009 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships

LONDON, England. -- University of Michigan men's gymnastics freshman Rohan Sebastian (Oklahoma City, Okla./Bishop McGuiness) represented Ireland at the 2009 World Gymnastics Championships in London, England, finishing in 54th place in the all-around competition with a total score of 76.800.
Competing in the same arena where the 2012 Olympic gymnastics competition will take place, Sebastian's best mark came on the vault, where he scored a 13.825. Sebastian also claimed four top 100 places, highlighted by a 73rd-place result on the high bar and 85th place on the pommel horse.
Sebastian has been a member of the Irish national team since 2007 and has represented Ireland at the 2008 Junior European Championships, recording Ireland's highest all-around finish in the event's history with his 14th-place result, and the 2008 Northern European Championship, where he finished fifth in the all-around.
The 41st FIG Artistic World Gymnastics Championships continue until October 18. [ Complete Results ]
