Last Time on the Course
With the rain-shortened win at the Wolverine Invitational, U-M posted its 29th tournament title in the history of the program. Ashley Bauer's career-best three-under 68 not only won medalist honors, but helped her tie the all-time single round mark at U-M. She is the fifth member of U-M's 68 club joining Kim Benedict (2001), LeAnna Wicks (2002), Laura Olin (2002) and Amy Schmucker (2005). Bauer also set the U-M record for 18-hole tournament total. She now holds three of U-M's tournament records with the 18-hole, 36-hole (148, tied with three others) and 54-hole (212, tied with Laura Olin).
Longevity Continues
Ashley Bauer has yet to miss a tournament in her career at Michigan, playing in 24 straight events. Bauer is one of two Wolverines with a consecutive-event streak along with Min Yean Tan, who has played in her last 12 events.
Model of Consistency
Ashley Bauer continues to be the 'model of consistency' for the Wolverines. Her current career average of 76.37 is the best for any golfer in U-M history. In 24 career events, she has posted 13 top-20 individual finished and eight top 10. She won her first collegiate event in the season-opening Wolverine Invitational.
Sister Act, Part 2
Last season, the Wolverines had the Davis sisters, Lindsay and Katelin, on the roster. With Lindsay now graduated, this season, the sisterly act continues as Ashley Bauer welcomes her younger sister, Meagan, to the team.
