Postgame Notes: #10 Ohio State 42, Michigan 7

• The loss was Michigan's fifth straight to the Buckeyes, the longest losing stretch in series history for the Wolverines.
• Junior tailback Brandon Minor led the rushing attack with 67 yards on 14 carries and one touchdown. He had a team-leading 10 carries for 48 yards at half, including a 32-yard run that provided U-M with a first-and-goal at OSU's one-yard line.
• Minor scored Michigan's only points on a one-yard touchdown run at 2:51 of the second quarter.
• Freshman wide receiver Martavious Odoms led the receiving effort with five catches for 37 yards against the Buckeyes. He caught four passes for 36 yards in the first half, including a 21-yard catch.
• Freshman Michael Shaw contributed a career-high 12 carries for 41 yards against the Buckeyes.
• Sophomore quarterback Nick Sheridan made his initial start in the rivalry, completing 8-of-24 passes for 87 yards.
• Safety Brandon Harrison and defensive end Tim Jamison played in their 50th career games. In addition, Harrison made his 30th career start in the secondary and Jamison started his 25th career contest at defensive end.
• Jamison collected his 20th career sack in the Ohio State game, moving into sole possession of seventh place on Michigan's career list.
• Jamison tied for the team lead with a season-high eight tackles against the Buckeyes, including three tackles for loss and one sack. He posted five tackles and one sack in the first half.
• Harrison picked up a sack for third straight game with a hit of Pryor on a third-down play. Harrison finished the game with four solo tackles.
• Junior safety Stevie Brown collected his second interception in as many weeks, returning a pick on Ohio State's opening series 34 yards to give U-M a scoring opportunity at the Buckeyes' 13-yard line. The Wolverines were unable to capitalize and missed on a 35-yard field goal attempt by K.C. Lopata. Brown finished with four stops in the contest.
• Junior defensive end Brandon Graham picked up his 10th sack of the season and in the process became the seventh player in school history to reach the double-digit sack plateau in a season. Graham finished the game with three tackles, two TFLs and one sack.
• Graham's 10 sacks this season ranks tied for seventh in school history for a single season.
• Graham posted two tackles for loss in the game, giving him 20 on the season. He lists tied for seventh with Mark Messner (20, 1987) on Michigan's season TFLs list.
• Junior linebacker Jonas Mouton tied Jamison for the team lead with eight tackles and 1.5 TFLs in the game.
• Junior punter Zoltan Mesko attempted double-digit punts for the second straight Ohio State game (12 in 2007). Mesko matched his career high with 12 punts for a 36.5-yard average against the Buckeyes, with three punts inside the 20-yard line and two boots of 50 yards or better.
• With his first punt of the contest, Mesko became the first punter in school history to have 3,000 or more yards in a season. He holds the season record for punts (80) and yards (3,436).
• Junior wide receiver LaTerryal Savoy caught a 14-yard career-long reception during the second quarter against OSU.
• The Buckeyes gained 112 of their 167 first-half yards on two plays, a 59-yard TD run by Chris Wells and a 53-yard passing TD from Terrelle Pryor to Brian Hartline.
• Sophomore right tackle Stephen Schilling made the trip but did not dress against the Buckeyes, snapping a team-leading string of 24 consecutive starts to begin his career. Schilling injured his knee in practice Tuesday.
• Redshirt freshman Steven Threet did not travel to Ohio State. He missed the contest due to a shoulder injury sustained in the Northwestern game.
• The elected season captains -- Tim Jamison, Will Johnson, Mike Massey and Terrance Taylor -- represented the team at midfield for the coin toss against Ohio State. The Buckeyes won the toss and elected to receive the opening kickoff.
• Today's game was the ninth played by U-M with over 100,000 fans this season, seven at home and road contests at Penn State and Ohio State. Today's attendance of 105,564 was the fourth largest in Ohio Stadium history.
• Former Michigan head coach Gary Moeller and his wife, Ann, attended today's game at Ohio State. Moeller led the Wolverines to three straight Big Ten titles (1990-92) to begin his career and posted 44-13-3 record during his five-year coaching tenure (1990-94).
