SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The No. 8-ranked University of Michigan men's cross country team finished ninth (276 points) in the 25-team blue division of the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday (Oct. 3) at the Notre Dame Golf Course. No 26-ranked Florida State took first with 81 points.
Senior/junior Brandon Fellows(Mercer Island, Wash./Mercer) led all U-M runners as he crossed the line in 22nd place with a time of 24:12. He was followed by junior/sophomore Peter Christmas(Ann arbor, Mich./Pioneer) in 39th (24:29) and freshman Bobby Aprill(Dexter, Mich./Dexter) in 42nd (24:30).
Other Michigan runners in top-100 included fifth-year senior Seth Thibodeau(Milford, Mich./Milford) who finished 83rd (24:56), junior Michael Dobmeier(East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) who finished 91st (25:00) and senior/junior Sean McNamara(Elmhurst, Ill./York) who finished 99th (25:08).
The Wolverines will have a two-week break before they return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind.
